SHORT BIO: Matt (Creative Director at CloVerde) loves writing great songs and teaching others how to do the same.  And discovering new talent.  And chocolate.  And of course, Jesus.  

DETAILED BIO:  Matt 'matto' Orewiler started writing songs when lyrics began pouring into his head back in college and he hasn't been able to stop ever since.  He took the plunge to move from Cincinnati to Nashville in 2006 to soak in the songwriting vibes of Music City, USA.

Matt continues to feed his passion of crafting songs with several other songwriters he's met at various songwriting events over the years.  With 820+ song lyrics completed, he always enjoys learning more about the art of songwriting with a goal of being encouraging and inspiring to others with songs to motivate everyone to live their lives to the fullest.  

He has learned valuable lessons on songwriting at NSAI's Spring Training for songwriters (2010 - 2013), GMA's Immerse music training (2009 - 2012, 2018), the Write About Jesus songwriter conference (2010 - 2025) the Israel Songwriting Tour (2019) and attended GMA's Dove Awards (2008 - 2010, 2015, 2019).  Matt is a proud member of Global Songwriters Connection since 2014.

Matt is cowriter of five #1 songs at the indie music site broadjam.com, including the #1 song in the world "Amazing Thing", (cowritten with Shaun Junggren) which hit #1 on 7 different Top 10 charts out of over 400,000 songs on the indie music site.  That same song earned a Top 25 finalist spot in the Music City Songwriting Competition in 2014.  His Country rock song "Swampy And Dirty" (also written with Shaun) received Top 3 honors at the IMSTA FESTA 2015 in Los Angeles as well as #1 on broadjam's Country chart.  Most recently, "Full Circle" (written with Amy Sporleder) made the Top 24 at the 2024 Tin Pan South Songwriting Seminar.

Designer and leader of the Creative Inspiration Songwriting Workshop, Matt loves teaching others how to fuel the passion of songwriting in their everyday lives.

He was honored with Dave Clark's 'Excellence In Lyric Writing' award at the 2019 Write About Jesus songwriter conference.

Enjoying the journey, Matt continues to cowrite lots of Country songs and loves the live music scene in Nashville.
