Manifest. 

What can I say about Manifest. Unbelievable friends, ones I had before and ones I have now. Unbelievable music, holy golden balls unrealistically good music all goddamned weekend. I was blessed to have the last scheduled set sunday morning, just after the sun had risen.

Many were still in their tents, and even more were working their way to them. Some of them stopped... some of them were still there from Thriftworks' amazing performance before me. Some of them knew I'd spent the last six months on several of the tracks I wrote to come out and play this set. The emotions were high, as was everyone still awake at that point. Some of them were dreaming...

This was the first set I played as Mister Boyfriend. I hope you enjoyed it - or enjoy it now hearing it for the first time. This is my gift, in gratitude to you all, to Zach (the Pilot) and Daniel, and to the universe for conspiring to make me see, hear and feel music, and compelling me to create.

Mister Boyfriend - Live at Manifest 2013 (sunrise sunday am)

Its about 6:15am, Monday morning. The second monday, if you're counting, of Burning Man 2013. There's no sign of the Man, nor the Temple. The population of Black Rock City is beginning to leave, piece by piece, their dusty summer home for the default world.

Hookahdome has been rocking Sunday nights for many years, and this year was no different. It's been about nine hours since the end of the Temple burn, and Cosmic Selector of Tek Freaks has been holding it down for close to two and a half hours (Thank you Cos!). 

A few minutes of setup and a couple high fives later, I start to play. I've been working on my music for a few months, and for the first time I finally have a big crowd to hear it, and I was so excited and grateful for the opportunity.

After a heartrending singalong of "The Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie (edited out) I was followed by the always awesome Carly D who took it through to the exodus traffic.
