SubData music can be characterized as experimental bass-driven DnB with non-standard beats and rhythms. It’s always sounds fresh and interesting. His SubCulCon (SubCultural Consciousness) is more than just a crew, label or a brand. Returning six years after providing his last Bern Bass Podcast Special, DJ Steve G reminisces about the British Wednesdays 1999/2000 at «Tonis the Club» in Aarbergergasse in Bern with this special vinyl mix. Initially on Floor 2, the fresh sound of UK Garage/2-Step was then soon transferred to the main Floor and the midweek parties frequently turned into ram jam affairs with great vibes. The resident DJs RCK, Sunee and Steve G played all the 2-step hits of the era along with some favorites of the crowd. Time to put together a few of these rather mellow tunes in an hour-long mix as a tribute to those nights - those who know will know.

Bern Bass Podcast 89 - Steve G (SWISS NATIONAL DAY SPECIAL 2022)

To mark the pending release of my upcoming joint EP with Mineral (forthcoming on Omni Music on 28th August, here's my 'Helsinki to Hampshire') mix.  The mix includes all 4 tracks from the EP, alongside my forthcoming remixes of Synthforce and InTake for Default Recordings, a first play for my remix of Woken Balance's track 'Andromeda' (forthcoming on Metius Music), and my solo track Like Minds (Out now on the fantastic Sonic Landscapes compilation on EC Underground).

The first part of the mix focusses on cinematic dancefloor sounds / atmospheric and jungle, and then things switch towards a jazzier direction for a bit towards the end, including a sneak peek of a joint track with my Codename: Amen co-owner Rome.
