This comes as no surprise, as the already renowned Berlin based polymath channels his full-time effort partly into playing live drums, producing his and other people’s music and creating multidisciplinary visual art. Following multifaceted solo projects on labels Average Negative/Alpha Pup Records and Orange Milk Records, Gin&Platonic are delighted to present Ludwig's exceptional sophomore full-length album 'Spiritual Decay'.

"Poussière. Plastique. Résidu. Ruines. Je me réveille et ne reconnais rien de ce paysage de néant pourtant si plein. Le ciel est d’un rose rance et terrifiant. Sur ce sol accidenté, rien ne semble avoir résisté, ni image, ni écran. Rien si ce n’est des débris, des reliquats de vies passées, d'existences numériques. De la mousse phosphorescente a recouvert mes pieds. A tout recouvert. Entre effroi et émerveillement, je contemple les alentours, médusé. 
Alors que de nouvelles voix et un nouveau langage résonnent en moi, le silence environnant m’accable. Pourtant au loin j’entends des sirènes en écho. Elles m’appellent. Je me lève finalement et commence ma traque. Suivre la trace des ces chants, quoi de plus hasardeux. Allez, qu’est-ce que j’ai à perdre de toute façon."

Kat Nzingha - 'Vorphic Skin'

Based in Philadelphia, Kat Nzingha is a multidisciplinary artist that explores experimenting with abstruse textures. By combining their sculptural works with heavy low-end frequencies and celebratory tones they create blissfully cryptic sonic materials that are the extended bodies of modified objects that they fabricate. Revealing the spirit within their sculptural entities in the sonic form of convulsing kicks, metallic percussion, and hyper-processed textures.

After releasing the EP Angeltribe on TT Label in 2020, Kat Nzingha releases their first vinyl 7” record with Toothgrinder Press with only 20 copies for purchase.

Vorphic Skin resonates from the idea of metamorphosis as transformation, and mutation as a modification. They activate the deconstruction of the internal human body and its process through industrial sonic textures.

On Misinput Tycoon (GEN052), https://soundcloud.com/fausto_mercier returns to Genot Centre with an album full of intricately engineered, futuristic sound explorations. Quirky, syncopated, even grimy melodies emerge between sounds reminiscent of cinematic automatic sliding doors, plasma-filled light cannons and full-spectrum boot-up sounds. The approach is bio-mimetic, elastic, fizzy, accelerating and decelerating, like listening to a process of wringing out an artificial fabric, or rupturing ultra-light fibrous materials in incredible resolution. More than ever, this album is littered with colorful, even contemplative segments: having an orchestrated, playful feeling. But make no mistake: more than mere intermezzos, this only a further dimension of the album's depth, the bright timbres ready to interface with a stroboscopic, liquid, granular counterpoint at any time.

Roland Nagy (he/him) is a Hungarian sound engineer, ex-media arts student and producer. Ever since 2016 he has released music under https://soundcloud.com/fausto_mercier moniker on labels like on EXILES, Kaer‘Uiks, Pointless Geometry, Infinite Machine or Genot Centre. His work in the field of electronic music production, while resonating with hardcore digital culture and bouncy rhythmic heaviness, is closely connected to his fascination for natural soundscapes and their fractal nature. In particular, Nagy skillfully manages to depict a violent, tense world populated of minuscule yet grand sound variations, intertwined in a web of apparently chaotic textures. He was part of Shape Platform roster in 2020.

We are delighted to extend the GUN-X series with a second edition in partnership with HIDE Productions !

GUN-X is a series of releases that enlarge the processes of collaboration beyond the borders of the Global URL Nation. For each project in the series, members of the GUN community collaborate with members from another collective or label - exploring the results of cross-pollination and pooling across the global ecosystem of electronic music.

After an abrasive edition with Heel.zone in 2020, we’re happy to partner this time with the incredible multi-disciplinary collective HIDE Productions from Italy ! HIDE aims to connect artists by sharing resources such as sample packs, devices, types or 3D assets, in addition to delivering sharp and sizzling releases and audiovisual projects. Their dedication to provide high quality projects and resources over the years made it one of the most obvious choices to develop the series.

For the project, HIDE members SY/N, T.U. / Capiuz, Coeden & Leden cooked a pack of samples and M4L devices that were proposed to GUN members to make a track. 

AFGA06L, B E N N x Griigg, Cralias, Fungal Mat, jjjacob x P IT, Lukann, Nagruv, Sha Sha Kimbo x xato, & Talita Otović from the GUN community reinterpreted these to deliver a 10-track compilation that ranges from vaporous synthetic soundscapes to deafening growls, bitter hits and jarring noises. A caustic club material to handle with caution !

CLM/GUN is happy to present UNITED, its latest series of collaborative releases, exploring further the aesthetics of collective intelligence and processes of collaboration. For each EP in the series, one member of the GUN community collaborates freely with other producers and artists of their choice. 

Interbeings by @griigg initiates the series, gathering talented artists @avbvrn, @b0ra-1, @newfear, @tendreael & @whorltooth. 

Contemplating the void of current dystopian narratives and widespread pessimism, it blends vocal entities, organic textures and rythmic hybrids to present us with a touch of hope to be found in collective action. Paired with a text and series of visual works, the release seeks to question collective intelligence as the foundation of emerging beliefs and newborn organizations, and aims to highlight the importance of both physical and virtual spaces as means to establish and expand commoning practices.

Versatile A/V artist and producer based between Riga and Berlin, N1L intersects eclectic "club" music experiments with post-industrial psychedelia and intense alien soundscapes. Having recently been focused on independent self-publishing, his previous releases have also been put out by acclaimed labels such as UIQ, Opal Tapes, among others.

ПОТОП (“potop”, or deluge in Russian) presents seven pieces encapsulating dark apocalyptic themes, each setting the scene for a disorientating sonic landscape that references the genesis flood narrative found in the world’s ancient mythologies. Centered on Earth's return to a pre-anthropocene state of watery chaos, this allegory illustrates both punishment for man’s mortal sins as well as new beginnings born from the washing away of everything that has reached its final, obsolete stage — the message of which is increasingly relevant today.

Premiere: N1L - fang mark semantics [Self-Released]

Under the heat of a blazing sun, French producers DEEjAY f and GRIG merge as one to open a sonic portal. In Dune Tune, lush instruments and airy soundscapes counter-balance the weight of a growling bass to unveil a soothing anomaly, an oasis from another world in an arid expanse.

SEED singles are individual tracks that are the result of a spontaneous association between two or more members of the Global URL Nation.

Emerging from the cross-pollination happening among the GUN community, they recombine musical genres and cultural backgrounds into a variety of sounds, producing new breeds and species in the landscape of electronic music. They blossom along the trail of the CLMxGUN journey, providing unique delicacies and brief satisfactions to be picked up and enjoyed in the moment.

++ TINNITVS - A 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY COMPILATION ++

In 2015, Club Late Music was created as an open-source music label, with the ambition to explore the production and diffusion of artistic contents by connecting artists worldwide into a network based on collaboration, sharing and mutual aid. It was quickly followed by the creation of the Global URL Nation in 2017 : a still growing community of artists, designers and enthusiasts willing to crystallize this idea into a tangible reality.

Five years later, after more than a dozen projects - from EPs and compilations to audiovisual pieces and installations, as well as many radio shows, live acts and club events - we are still more than convinced that collective action, togetherness and genuine openness are much needed guides to navigate our troubled times.

We are happy to celebrate this double anniversary with TINNITVS, a 12-track compilation made by members and friends of the Global URL Nation. With 24 artists from more than a dozen countries, it acts as a statement of our current mindset by presenting only collaborative tracks made by two or more persons. An embodiment of playful exploration and muti-faceted creation, covering a broad range of sounds and styles, from the lowest roars to the sparkliest ringing vocals.

As a reverse present to our supporters, as well as a way to explore further what open-source could mean in contemporary music production, the stems of each track are made available for anyone to use as they please when downloading the compilation. We hope this initiative will give birth to inspiring reworks and remixes, expanding the scope of the original tracks into new beings in perpetual evolution. We invite any contributions, from GUN members and beyond, to be sent to us in order to be gathered under a common project that will take shape in the coming months with the same mindset.

We are overwhelmingly thankful to anyone who has joined and participated in the adventure, as well as to everyone who has shown support in any way possible - from those who listened to our music to those who played it, from those who shared our content to those who involved us in their activities.
