MADRID – 27 SEPTEMBER 2024 - Colombian New Yorkers Flagrant Drvms and BREAKFAST N VEGAS team up with vocalist Dēlian on an indie-dance inspired cover of legendary Latin Rock  superstars Maná’s “Oye Mi Amor”. The track drops worldwide across digital platforms via Sony Latin imprint Orianna on Friday, 27 September.

Often cohabitating the same music studio in Medellin, Colombia, Flagrant Drvms and Breakfast N Vegas are no strangers to exchanging creative ideas. In fact, both artists share a common member, DJ Yonny, further adding to the fluidity of their musical relationships. It was in that studio that Breakfast N Vegas shared an early mock up cover of Maná’s “Oye Mi Amor”. The demo captured the ears of both groups, inspiring them to take a collaborative deep dive into transforming the track for a new millenia. 

“Oye Mi Amor” was originally released by legendary Mexican pop rock band Maná on their 1992 hit album, ‘¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños?’. That album went on to sell over 3M copies and became the best-selling Spanish-language rock album of all time. 

Flagrant Drvms and Breakfast N Vegas knew that covering a song that has transcended cultures across Latin America and become a staple in every Latin DJ's set would be a monumental task. “Whenever the original song comes on you can rest assured that almost every Latin person in that room has committed the lyrics to memory,” the artists said collectively, adding, “the original is ferocious, energetic, and liberating!”
With Flagrant Drvms bringing their unique blend of ancestral Latin sounds and dance music and Breakfast N Vegas tapping into their soundscapes of electronic, Latin, Afro, dance, trap and urban, the artists breathed new life and meaning to the classic. 
With the addition of San Diego-based vocalist Dēlian, who effortlessly and urgently sings the legendary lyrics, “Oye mi amor / No me digas que no,” they deliver a new twist on this eternal story of unrequited love, reinventing the tone and energy and transforming the cut with deep grooving house and indie freshness.

It’s been a great start to Jesús Fernández’s Toolroom journey this year with his tracks ‘Old Skool’ and ‘Noche y Día’ (the collaboration with Javi Reina & Daveartt), both records gained strong support on SiriusXM Pitbull’s Globalization, BBC Radio 1 and a firm favourite for the DJ sets of HUGEL, Mark Knight and Bob Sinclar. Jesús Fernández has really came into his own this year and the label looks forward to building on the relationship with him into 2026 as he continues to make people feel good on the dancefloor with his powerful authentic Afro/Latin beats. 

‘Guayabú’ follows his recent trends perfectly, with his signature big tribal drums and earworms created from the percussion alone. The Spanish vocal picks up the pace and ‘Guayabú’ meaning ‘Hangover’ makes for this record to be another essential party starter.
