幼少の頃からクラシック音楽に傾倒し、ピアノをはじめトロンボーンやバイオリン等の管弦楽に慣れ親しむ。 東京外国語大学在籍中にクラブミュージックと出会い、2008年より本格的なDJ活動を開始。 東ロンドンのアンダーグラウンドシーンで直に受けた影響を軸として国内でのキャリアを積む一方、ADEへの出演やヨーロッパでのツアーを成功させるなど、DJ・プロデューサーとして国内のみならず着実に全世界からの認知度を高めてきた。
デビュー作 ’What Are You Doin’ が2018年Lyase Recordings (Italy) よりリリースされると、Maceo Plex、Charlotte de Witte、Daniel Averyらによって強力な支持を得る。その直後にはMaetrikやANNAなどのリリースで知られるClash Lion (Spain) から ‘Ambush’ EPをリリース。同作は、Beatport Leftfield Techno & Houseチャートでトップリリース最高5位を記録し、世界中のDJ達によってBBC Radio 1をはじめとする様々な番組でプレイされる。その後もPan-Pot主宰のSecond State、Dense & Pika主宰のKneaded Painsなどより常に精力的なEPリリースを重ね、ベルリンのWatergate、オランダの Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) にてSecond Stateのショーケース出演に抜擢されるなどヨーロッパでの認知度を着実に得た。 2022年には元Princeのエンジニアとしても知られるBlack Asteroidとのコラボレーションを行い、Chris LiebingのCLRより’Acid Flesh’ EPがリリース。硬派で中毒性のあるダークなサウンドで構成される自身の音楽を探求し続けている。

ーDJ MIXはどこで録音したのですか？
自宅にて、Ableton Liveで作成しました。

ーDJ MIXのコンセプトについて教えてください。
1時間という限られた時間の中で、できる限りのストーリーを作ろうと心がけました。新譜を中心に、去年よくプレイしたトラックを混ぜつつ、最後は今年リリース予定の自分の新しいトラックで締めました。

ー今後の活動についてお聞かせください。
今年もいくつかリリースが決まりつつ、ヨーロッパでツアーも控えているので今からとても楽しみです。
ここ何年かで制作してきたトラックを携えて飛び回りたいと思います。

Those who know one of Romania's finest DJ's will appreciate how much of a rarity this is, with only a handful of his mixes online over the past three decades.

2020年にレコードにフォーカスを当てたプロジェクトDiGDUGを新たに始動。2021にはフランクフルトのレーベルBlank stateにMixを提供。直近ではソウルのMagicoを招集し、Circus OsakaにてDiGDUGを開催。

ーコンセプトがあれば教えてください。
特にはありませんが、最近買ったレコードを主にプレイしました。とても楽しんでやれたので、その感じが伝わってもらえれば幸いです。ある先輩には東京っぽい感じでやってたねと言われました。

Description:
'WC Heritage' is the first output from the freshly hatched, Sanka, label by Gonno (a stalwart DJ and producer in Japan's contemporary Techno and House scene for well over two decades). This release compiles treasured retrospective tracks (originally released in 2000s) from Japan's "WC Recordings" - the label that released Gonno's debut album in 2005.
WC Recordings (who believed strongly in its “Japanese anarchy techno" stance), released numerous digital EPs and CD albums from 2004 - 2009 making this the first time any of this material is available on vinyl.
The LP features tracks from WC's owner, Salmon, who sadly passed away in 2011.  Also featured are Baiyon, the duo 'Side B,  Syuji Wada (aka DJ Wada, who started his career in the mid 1980s also known for being a member of Co-fusion), DSKE (one of the first Japanese DJs to play at Panorama Bar , Berlin), Gonno, as well as other remarkable talents who dedicated themselves to the Japan underground dance music scene in the 2000s. 
The nine unique tracks stand up strong in 2024 - all with an edge, 'glitcy-ness', and funny intensity.  These snapshots from this particular moment in time are a perfect way to begin understanding what was happening in the wild Japan underground dance music scene of the 2000s. A period of immense creativity which has never really been exposed to the outside world.

2. このミックスのコンセプトがあれば教えてください。

DJ mixを録る時はいろいろと混ぜ合わせるのが好きなんだ。このセットはバイナルとデジタル音源で録っていて、自分の好きなボーカル物からクラッシックなクラブトラック、そしていくつかの新譜を使ったよ。
 
3. 最近の活動を教えてください。

昔にリリースしたいくつかの作品をリプレスすることに決めたよ。あとはその他のリリースの準備をしているよ。
