With a background in dance and theatre performance, @shady_lady_dj sets are far from ordinary. She is driven to make the dancefloor move as much as she does behind the decks, with a push for palpable and joyous tracks. A typical set for her is teaming with emotion, colour, a sense of kitsch aesthetic but with an eclectic knowledge of disco, italo and house music. Pouring tonnes of decibels and dance moves into any club, Shady Lady’s mission is about bringing a compulsively fun attitude with a twist of irony to each mix. 
 
Shady Lady has slotted herself into the grooves of the Amsterdam dance music scene one boogie at a time. Having moved from Australia to Amsterdam 3 years ago, she has now twirled her way through the Amsterdam dance scene, playing at clubs and festivals across the Netherlands. @jitterparty invite Gabe : (@joilafrique) is the co-creator/organiser of Apricot Ballroom (@apricotballroom), an audiophile party based in Sheffield, UK. He's an obsessive digger and collector of both records and speakers, and is usually found digging through dusty shelves and shops for rare vintage pieces of both kinds.
Having been DJing since 2009 he's been involved with a variety of projects focusing on different styles in that time, but really found his feet in starting Apricot Ballroom with best friend Dave (Nonna Fab). The party focuses on displaying obscure and interesting music of all varieties through a beautiful vintage audiophile sound system in a high energy club setting.
The party and its hosts have gone from strength to strength lately, having started a mix series and record label over the last two years, the two becoming regular fixtures at some of the UK's best boutique festivals, and the monthly parties regularly packing out their chosen home of Bal Fashions in Sheffield.
