Qoyote is a queer indigenous artist of Nlaka’pamux, Mi’Kmaq and Métis descent with ancestry from Zihuatanejo, Mexico. They are a member of Drill Events, a queer and BIPOC run collective working out of so called “Vancouver”. Qoyote uses beats and rhythm to create a space of escapism for those seeking liberation from the mundane. Their taste in style ranges from techno, drum and base, breaks, tribal, trance, acid, and house. Qoyote’s sets exemplify this through a flow of genre-bending and low to high BPM.

Manuka Honey (they/she) is a London based interdisciplinary artist and astrologer. They work across mediums to explore language formation, diasporic identity and mysticism in their practice, while emphasizing and facilitating spaces of healing and qtibpoc+.  In this mix Manuka let their ancestors make the decisions. Their fast and furious mixing style takes you through a multigenre journey; hopping from melodramatic perrero to dark trance moments.

CLUB CHAI is a record label, event series and curatorial project founded by 8ULENTINA and Lara Sarkissian (fka FOOZOOL) in Oakland, California. CLUB CHAI centers diasporic artists with the intention of carving out sounds and spaces that consider the ways we build narratives as a reflection of our current and future selves. We believe in the transformative abilities of storytelling through sound and honoring its creation of genres and movements for marginalized people throughout the history of electronic music. Through our label releases and projects we hope to contribute to this archive and history.
CLUB CHAI hosted regular events in Oakland and San Francisco while participating in an international network of artists and collaborators. CLUB CHAI held showcases in New York City and London, and have also presented at Unsound Festival Krakow (2019), Mexico City, Milan, and a UK tour in collaboration with TT label. The label hosted shows and streams on NTS radio, Rinse FM, Lower Grand Radio, and Boiler Room.
