Rumina is a Malmö based DJ and producer whose sound is influenced by hard drums, deconstructed and contemporary club music. Since 2018 she has been a part of the music and studio collective FNGRLCKN through which she gains inspiration to experiment with different genres and influences. Rumina has hosted radio shows at Retreat Radio and Tukio Radio, and also made guest mixes for Ola Radio, Root Radio, TESTFM, Tempo não para and Uumphff Radio. 


In 2021 she released her first EP ”THE FINAL DESTINY OF THE GODS” via FNGRLCKN. This year she featured in the compilation ”Seven Seas” by Marseille label HTS with her track ”bgai” and in May she released the EP ”Eternal Maze” via CDMX label Hypersonic.


Her single ”Karma” is aggressive and hard-hitting track that is contrasted with light and playful melodies. The name of the single is borrowed from Swedish rapper Dylan’s song ”Karma”, which is also sampled in her song.

Marking the 50th release-proper on SVBKVLT, we are excited to present ‘Mutate’, a new album by ABADIR.

‘Mutate’ started when I was trying out Maqsoum loops at high bpm blended with Jungle tracks during one of my DJ sets. I noticed that the Maqsoum rhythm complements the Amen break in a refreshing way. The first time I actually tried integrating both in my productions using “call and response” was when Ice_Eyes asked me to remix one of their tracks. The result was the closest to what I had always imagined to be my own club sound.

I set out to make an album using the same technique with some of my favorite club genres. My aim was to mutate those genres, collecting different types of Arabic rhythms and cooking them with Jungle, Jersey Club, Reggaeton, Footwork, etc. It’s an irreversible equation, like a chemical reaction, where the output is a melted piece which cannot be broken down into its separate inputs. Instead of ‘deconstructing’ or generally looking beyond club music, I made some fatty, straight up dance floor music.’ – ABADIR

Buenos Aires-born producer Pablo Betas — known as Bungalovv — celebrates his return to the Infinite Machine family with the release of the enchanting debut album, Donde Hubo Fuego.

Proceeding his 2017 EP ‘Luz Mala‘, which was coined by THE FADER as 'an unlikely entente between the sinister and the seductive', his reappearance to the imprint is analogous to this. Currently residing in Berlin, Bungalovv is also a founding member of TRRUENO, a collective and label that was born in Buenos Aires, united by new technologies as a resource and means to expand the spectrum of aesthetic possibilities in electronic, experimental, performance and audiovisual scenes.

Pulling inspiration from a diverse appetite comprised of dembow, obscure club experiments and animalistic synthesis, Bungalovv also utilises foley recordings exceptionally across the ten tracks. Flickers of the album opener ‘Bandera Robada’, are a cautionary suggestion of what lies ahead. And with antagonistic titles like ‘Soil Taste’ shaped from stabbing timbres and unpredictable time signatures like an Omni-angular sonic attack, you get pulled into a sinful parallel universe as the LP progresses. Cries of distortion, time-stretched cinematic doom, and unquantised ASMR excerpts are glued together like a tapestry, laying among devastating blows that meteor into a landing pad of extraordinary composition.

Complimentary of his mind-bending DIY live performance, the album is beautifully balanced, humanised, mechanical and elegant. Releasing in late April, this is by far Bungalovv's most refined and developed work to date.

Absolutely killer 10-tracker debut album on Hakuna Kulala by Russian avant-club producer and DJ Wulffluw XCIV. Designed to cause serious cerebral and physical damage on dance floors across the world, due for release on Hakuna Kulala.

Innovative and genre-blending, Wulffluw XCIV incorporates industrial/EBM techno and synthetized tones with dembow rhythms, kuduro and gqom to forge layered corporeal music with no geographical borders that feels vast. Each track is richly textured, surgically produced with agility and fierce finesse connecting a barrage of sounds and cultural influences plus high doses of playful and visual appeal. Wulffluw drops multiple emotional club bangers that are intriguing and jittery, marked by the front, harsh and unrelenting percussions, and enriched with repetitive sonic explosions, haunting vocals, cyberpunk ambience, and emphasized loud-soft dynamics. With this album that was started to be produced during his residency at Nyege Nyege Studios in Kampala following the 2019 edition of the label's annual festival, Wulffluw XCIV's reveals a vigorous artistic sensitivity defined by his interest in connecting disparate communities and diasporic styles. In the past he has collaborated with musicians from all over the world, among others Ink Midget, Santa Muerte & Rafa Maya, Blastah, Nahshi, Yoshitaka Hikawa, AN System, Icy Flame, and Whiterose.

CLUB CHAI is a record label, event series and curatorial project founded by 8ULENTINA and Lara Sarkissian (fka FOOZOOL) in Oakland, California. CLUB CHAI centers diasporic artists with the intention of carving out sounds and spaces that consider the ways we build narratives as a reflection of our current and future selves. We believe in the transformative abilities of storytelling through sound and honoring its creation of genres and movements for marginalized people throughout the history of electronic music. Through our label releases and projects we hope to contribute to this archive and history.
CLUB CHAI hosted regular events in Oakland and San Francisco while participating in an international network of artists and collaborators. CLUB CHAI held showcases in New York City and London, and have also presented at Unsound Festival Krakow (2019), Mexico City, Milan, and a UK tour in collaboration with TT label. The label hosted shows and streams on NTS radio, Rinse FM, Lower Grand Radio, and Boiler Room.
