O médico, músico e DJ francês LeonxLeon nos convida para um passeio elegante pelo velho continente nesta edição do nosso podcast. Desde jovem, Leon esteve em contato com a música, vendo seu pai construindo synths ou estudando percussão. Atualmente, ele produz e remixa artistas tão importantes quanto Cerrone e a banda francesa Agar Agar, além de ter se envolvido com as gravadoras e coletivos Good Plus, Les Yeux Oranges, e Red Laser Disco.

Esse mix, que remete ao disco europeu dos anos 80, workouts instrumentais e boogie francês, mantem uma coesão e constante subida de tempo, sem perder a suavidade e a capacidade de mexer corpos.

Doctor during the day and musician at night, LeonxLeon produces since 2013 in his Parisian home-studio a blend of house, italo-disco and boogie.
From a young age he was into music, following jazz drumming courses and watching as his dad, a sound engineer, constructed his own synthesizers. Later, he used one of those synths on his latest Ep “Rokanbo”, out in 2019 on Cracki Records from France. This EP mixed his traditional influences with a more tropical, or even zouk vibe and the title track was played quite extensively in some French parties.
Promoter of parties, he was also part of the foundation of the “Good Plus” edit label, and worked for a while on the “Les Yeux Orange” project.
He also remixed Cerrone and the French band Agar Agar in 2020, in addition to releases on “Red Laser Disco” from Manchester since 2013 including his first EP in 2017.

About the mix: "I approach playing new unfamiliar places with a wide open approach, initially I started with disco house, new and old latin house then moved into a little bit of a harsher sound while still maintaining musicality and dancibilty. Around the hour mark I looked out into the club and decided to take the tempo and vibe down a bit to a more chilled out sound with more traditional deep house. Whatever the circumstances through the night I maintained my playlist focus and pulled off a set that I believe represents my sound. Featuring tracks by Kerri Chandler, Blaze, Louie Vega, Martinez Brothers, Heller & Farley + a whole lot more."
