"Just as I had my first rave experiences in the bunker about 10 years ago, i still see it, or would like to see it, as a place where I experience music that I don't normally encounter on a daily basis or that I don't normally listen to myself. I have always experienced the special in the unknown. In the same way my sets are meant to take the listener into a state of novelty and unfamiliarity. Into a deep experience of rhythmic selected music. In this mix, my approach was to create a multi-layered repetitive soundscape but not like techno but from progressiv and tech-house related tracks. This creates a slower but no less groovy experience. The setup were 2x turntables and 2x cdjs - two or three tracks are always playing - always in the mix with constant adjustment and eq sculpting - its rough - hell yeah - but fuck perfection. Her sets are identified by a bold sound curve with bassy house, mixed with acid and trance induced sounds. Josiane is the co-founder of What a Playground, a collective with Lena Brecht, they host a regular radio show at @refugeworldwide and curate events. Additionally, Josiane hosts a monthly podcast titled “Private PAradise” @private.paradise_fm on @komrad.net_ . On this Platform she explores to mix different sounds of house and techno and invites other artists to share musically their “Private Paradise”.
