Seit langer Zeit suchen wir nach einem Ort der vollkommen ist und Glückseligkeit verspricht; dem Paradies auf Erden. Früher vermutete man ihn jenseits der großen Meere. Da, wo das Auge aufhörte zu sehen, begann die Fantasie die Gedanken der Menschen zu beflügeln. So fand sich der Garten Eden auch auf mittelalterlichen Karten wieder. Der große Kolumbus bestätige nach der Überquerung des Atlantik sogar die Vermutungen. An der Küste Venezuelas will er untrügliche Anzeichen dafür gefunden haben, dass das Paradies ganz in der Nähe ist. Venezuela zählt heute tatsächlich zu den Ländern mit den glücklichsten Einwohner der Erde, aber die Suche nach dem irdischen Paradies auf der Landkarte wurde mittlerweile aufgegeben. 
Sowohl Kolumbus als auch seine Entdecker-Kollegen waren nicht in der Lage das gelobte Land ausfindig zu machen. Das Paradies kann also leider nicht per Pauschalreise oder Billigflieger besichtigt werden. Es ist nicht im Atlas zu finden und kann nicht mit Hilfe von Geld erreicht werden. Andere Kulturen gehen daher davon aus, dass dieser mythische Ort in jedem von uns ist. Im walisischen Keltisch gibt es dafür den Ausdruck „Hieraeth“. Es beschreibt ein tiefes Gefühl der Sehnsucht nach der Heimat, die man verloren hat. Eine Art Heimweh nach einem Ort, wo man niemals gewesen ist. Einem Ort der nur in unseren Gedanken existiert. Den wir kreiert und durch unsere Wünsche mit Leben gefüllt haben. Dort fühlen wir uns wohl und geborgen, denn es ist unser Reich. Und jeder kann es so formen, wie es ihm beliebt. Der Schlüssel zur Pforte in diese himmlische Welt ist die Musik. Wenn sie unseren Körper durchströmt und wir die Augen schließen, trägt sie uns ins irdisches Paradies!

Adrian Niculae a.k.a. Priku established himself as a hard working and passionate music creator. He is a member of Sunrise booking since 2007, making his way up to the big gigs through many noticeable Sunwaves performances. 

He released on labels such as [a:rpia:r], All Inn, Fabric, Concrete Music and Only 300 Family, his name is also on Cocoon Green & Blue 2011 and Cocoon Heroes compilations. 

Throughout he can be seen playing in many important clubs and parties around the world, including Robert Johnson, Amnesia, Kazantip Festival, Tenax, Concrete, all across Europe and as far as the Americas. 

In 2012, Bobohalma Ep was released on [a:rpia:r] label. This was a resounding success, highly appreciated by his colleagues in the industry as well as the general public. 

2013 is a turning point for Priku. He creates his own label: Motif and releases a new solo – Acoustic Ep under his real name, Adrian Niculae, the name that’s also present on Fabric 72. 

Priku's achievements came when still relatively young proving to be extremely talented, when we look at him we can see this sweet and delicate face, however, when we listen to his music, especially his live performances - by definition presenting the core of his identity musically – we call him the “king of basslines”, there is a somewhat adorable contradiction here, sweet face vs dark and very strong music, in the best way possible. That element of surprise and this contradiction makes him an even more fascinating artist. 

In 2016 started a new label and series of parties called Atipic, party by which we hold a residency at Guesthouse. This set is an extract of his set at Atipic at the club in March 2019.

Despite the international acclaim this great Argentinian producer has received over the last couple of years, he chose to stay in the small village where he was born and raised. His productions, featuring local instruments and motifs, manifest his admirable attachment to his origins and the traditional music of his homeland. His first approach to music, at the age of 14, was accidental because “nobody wanted to play bass guitar in town” so he learned it and started to play with his friends. It is astonishing how this almost random first step awakened his dormant talent for music which turned a boy into a brilliant electronic producer and music professor. The set that Lagartijeando prepared for UCR features many of his latest productions including seven unreleased tracks. Gentle instrumental sounds of flutes and drums, organic samples and a vibrant electronic beat blend beautifully into an enchanting musical journey which we are pleased to offer to our listeners.
