Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Fractal Architect back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from the UK, Daniel Watts aka Fractal Architect made his debut on the Greek imprint in August of last year. Backed by remixes from JOBE and Mashk, the 'Hideaway' EP was well received, making for a hugely memorable first appearance on the Greek imprint. Also calling Dear Deer, ICONYC and Steyoyoke home, Fractal Architect now lands back on Movement with 'Not Going Back'.
Spread across three tracks it's the progressive techno sounds of the title selection which get the EP underway. Dark and mysterious from the outset it's punchy low end and rippling rhythms provide momentous drive, while wispy effects and haunting atmospheres fill in the framework. A lively arp adds further bounce to the groove, before a short but timely break resets the narrative for an emotive finale.
The second selection 'Solitude' surveys a similar design profile but with a further lean into melodic techno territory. Beginning with a stripped yet punchy groove, the piece evolves with emerging arps and detailed percussion carrying into the main break. Wispy effects and poignant fragments make for a heartfelt interlude, before smoothly segueing into a heavenly final movement.
The third and final original 'Any Other Day' finds Fractal Architect flexing the electronica side of his studio repertoire. Smooth, elegant and a touch melancholic, it's an incredibly charming six-minute journey. Broken beats provide the foundation, while cascading tones marry hazy swells and unique artefacts, before elegantly peaking and getting washed away in a trail of exquisite sonics. It rounds out an inspired collection of music from Fractal Architect, making for an excellent return to Movement Recordings.

"Beautiful Featuring Jackson Baker" finds itself kicking the EP off.
It's not hard to tell why once you find your self two minutes deep, lost in a wild and unknown world... filled with exotic horns, flutes, acid sequences and a stomping funk bass line, brought to you by Jackson Baker.

"Artificial Fruits" is a curious and playful song with crunchy and distorted lyric's asking if they can help you.. That's when you ask it for some fruit.
This track is like a journey climbing a decently sized tree, full of delicious and colorful fruits that you never want to come down from.

The main attraction "Detroit Defect" keeps you attentive the entire track, from the catchy brass inspired leads, down to the fat, funky bass line.
It tells a story of growth and honesty by the dynamics and groove of the track.
We sense this from the way it get's dark - only for a moment, to come right back around and give you a feeling of enlightenment and joy.

"Breaking You Down".
The saturated drum groove and tech house bass line gets you going with a sense of power.
It's the break that does it though - a highly sustained, gritty - falling off the edge modular synth that really grabs you and builds a tense space to go right back into the groovy, minimal, tech house world again.

"Talking To The Trees" kind of feels like your in a dream and that dream definitely takes place in a club, any club - you pick.. The 909 inspired drums are asking to spank a few bass bins. And yes, in that club, Trees are everywhere, talking to anyone they can.
Being the final song on the EP we hope it leave's you Wandering what Happy Medium will have in store for us all next.

We are sure a buzz will build up around the music of Øyvind. His debut EP Aviation shows all the signs of a multi-dimensionally talented producer. It features a blend of songwriting sensibilities, experimentation with sound and a modernistic chic that can be found in some of the best club trax nowadays. The EP kicks off with "Puls" a track that brings just the right blend of introspection and energy
often walking a tightrope between the two. Slightly disturbing and hugely impressive are the baselines and the melodies that combined highlight one colossal iceberg of a sound, in collusion with a very lively, hand-cranked jazzy beat programming. It is all about atmospheres and space with an amazing feel. "Floater" shows a superb emotional balancing act of sounds rich and mighty in texture combined with the brittle whisperings of vocals that layer on top of each other, all done in a slow motion act. An unorthodox breakdown at halftime has birds singing and wind chimes doing their own melodies before the track bounces back into the wailing of heavenly creatures to create that unique intimate and warm style of his.
"Fønvind" sounds in the beginning like sugar in a hurricane. But as the track evolves which happens quite fast, a heavily pitched organ sound paths the way for the track to emerge. Goose - bumps
guaranteed here! By times it features glimpses of a jazz-infused house track with sumptuous chord changes and odd gentle sounds but a second later it will have killed off any of these associations
with one stroke to become again a piece of electronic music.
"Fells" is an epic „roaring“ sound sculpture. A piece of ambient music that leaves out any beat components to ficus only on the modulation of a single sound. We’re so used to being handed things on a plate, whereas I’m interested in the journey one might make to find out what those sounds are.

Stemming from a live music project, Pomme Rouge’s studio process is dominated by an analog performance approach naturally translating from their experience on stage. The pair expertly orchestrates the many hardware machines at hand to achieve engaging and evolving pieces of Electronic music. With this debut outing, the duo offer three original tracks, navigating through lush, warm and groovy soundscapes relying on impeccable and meticulous sound design, recorded and produced during a month-long residency at Riverside Studio in Berlin – after topping The Grand Factory’s Beirut-Berlin Express competition. "Cosmic Crisp" inaugurates the release with a down - tempo, melodic and transportive tune, while "Empire" closes the 3-track saga by shifting into higher gear and delivering a tasteful and groovy minimal house track filled with flavourful melodies, showcasing the pair's equally strong musicianship and knowledge of dance-floor etiquette. Crumble fits in between and delivers a smooth interlude that completes the story of our duo's first outing. Finally, the cherry on top, Tobi Neumann generously provides a banging up-tempo remix of

We are very happy to welcome Sam Hopgood on our label with his fantastic deep and organic EP Lost Tapes. Sam Hopgood is a producer and DJ based in Melbourne, Australia. Sam's music can be described as deep, powerful, organic, emotional and groovy.

Sam has also performed live and played alongside Melbourne's best talent, supporting international heavyweights such as Apparat, Henry Saiz, Guy J, Thomas Schumacher, Sebastien Leger, Anthony Pappa, Steve Mulder, Darin Epsilon and Quivver.

For us and you he crafted this fabolous and inspiring deep organic EP with 2 amazing tracks, both featuring a deep and natural vibe crossing genres from deep house to melodic techno.

Lost Tapes kicks off with a deep and pumping kick and SFX. High synth lines and percussive elements and smooth Hi Hats give the track it's groove. Deeper synths establish a wonderful spiritual atmosphere. Deep synth bass grooves drive the track forward. All in all a wonderful eclectic journey to start off your organic deep house set.

The Nomad starts off a little faster, but also features a beautiful deep vibe set by the kick, smooth hats and deep synths and basslines, flagged by percussion and a wonderful flute melody. Various synth progressions and progressive pads with vocal FX and flutes drive the track forward. An amazing saw synth sequence and synth arps come in waves to give the track movement and suspense. Building itself up with an oriental synth melody the Nomad finds it's break in an amazing setting, where a powerful saw synth progression drives the beat as well as short set hats, into a mesmerizing groove. An epic spiritual track and a must have for every organic set in any direction. This one works well with deep house, melodic techno, and also progressive house.
