Sabla is a project born and raised inTurin, devotely committed to the study of hypnotic sounds and polyrhythmics.
He’s co-founder of Gang of Ducks, a collective which takes care of music releases, editorial issues and art projects.

At the beginning of 2015 his debut ep, “Spirits“ was published on the G.o.D. label, collecting good feedbacks among public and critics.
He has played his first live set at Boiler Room Berlin and then he has released the “DanzaGuida“ ep on DISK, the label led by Don’t Dj.
He also recently appeared on compilation on Amsterdam’s Knekheluis, Bristol Normcore
and Hivern Discs.

Soda Lite (they/them) lives on the small island of lutruwita (also known as Tasmania) and is deeply influenced by its cool climate rainforests, alpine plateaus and eucalypt valleys. They use music to communicate the unique lifeways of these environments to listeners elsewhere on earth. Soda Lite has recorded three full-length albums since 2017, releasing with notable ambient labels such as Constellation Tatsu and Inner Islands and the next record, entitled ‘Aqua Solar Cura’ is to be released in January 2022 on Not Not Fun.

Soda Lite provided a sweet contribution for Bamboo Shows to close the year peacefully. New age and minimalist ambient music from around the earth, moving slow like a mountain changing shape, or a lake growing warm in spring.

Next up on the series we have Brighton based producer/DJ Caldera. Caldera has always caught my ear with his amazing/unique taste in percussion and rhythms - usually blended with a mysterious + dubby/vibey melodic touch.
Very happy to have him on the series as well as his track Endless Roots on the launch VA for Mirror Tapes.

"Stress is a funny thing. The more you notice it, the more it envelopes you. Despite multifaceted input mechanisms (it can come from any direction, from any part of your life), it is nearly impossible to divide into buckets and it piles onto itself, overflowing. I allow myself to escape from daily anxiety during periods of transition: the day's beginning and the day's end. This mix is a collection of songs that I use to help me shift my focus from post-dream-early-morning-internal-reality to the day's stress-laden list of to-dos. Originally planned as a series of in-store-style events just as the first waves of lockdown hit, Club Rooted launches as a new podcast series dedicated to non-floor focussed club music. Riding the line between warm-ups, messy after-party sets and the golden era of dubstep, when the dance makes way for something else.

The mix series follows a new wave of labels and artists pushing a non-floor focused sound + tapping into a lineage that can be traced back through various scenes, from recent slow or
kickless techno, abstract UK bass music, to autonomic DnB, knackered house, Detroit Beatdown, & various strands of electronica or IDM.

Club music for listening may be a contradiction in terms, but it’s certainly club rooted.
