Plaisirs Sonores Records proudly announces the release of the 'Shining EP' by prolific DJ/ producer D-Nox and Sharon Graziani, with a captivating remix by label founders Hicky & Kalo. This new release will be available on all major platforms from August 25th, 2023.

D-Nox, a DJ Awards winner with a career spanning over 30 years in electronic music, teams up with sound engineer and music producer Sharon Graziani for a rolling progressive house original 'Shining.' It features atmospheric synths, catchy melodies, and trancy-ish vocals that create an entrancing sonic journey. The synergy between D-Nox's seasoned musical artistry and Graziani's adept production expertise shines through in the track's remarkable depth and dynamism.

Complementing the original, label founders Hicky & Kalo take the track on a darker ride with their remix. This version of 'Shining' emphasizes the strong melody, adding a hefty kick and edgy vibe, transforming it into a peak-time dancefloor weapon.

Hicky & Kalo shared their experience, stating: "We've played this track a few times with great success. It always works so well in a club setting. The reception has been incredible, and we are excited for the wider audience to hear this."

D-Nox's illustrious career is notable for his international bookings and his exceptionally outstanding success in Brazil, where he commands a significant fanbase. Starting his musical journey in the early 90s, he became a significant figure in his hometown's music scene, Düsseldorf. He further cemented his mark in the industry by being one half of the duo D-Nox & Beckers. The duo has been releasing hits on prestigious labels such as Bedrock, Suara, and Sudbeat since 2004, in addition to D-Nox's own label, Sprout Music.

Sharon Graziani, the founder of Shagra Recordings, brings a wealth of experience from various projects like Monolock Music and Sandokan Music. His influences range from classic music and ethnic beats to the rhythms of nature, contributing a unique flavor to the 'Shining EP.'

The 'Shining EP' is a testament to the relentless pursuit of creating music that not only resonates with listeners but also pushes the boundaries of progressive house music. It is a significant addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue and represents the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally rich music.

Clubsonica Records opens the fall season by welcoming Mario Eighta to the label for his debut EP. Since emerging in 2019 Mexican artist Mario Eighta has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of melody and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. As a favourite of electronic music tastemakers Agents Of Time, Armen Miran, Fideles and more, the Playa del Carmen resident has compiled an impressive discography across a four-year creative swell, landing releases on top tier imprints such as Beatfreak, Freegrant Music and Tale & Tone. 

Continuing what has been a great start to the year, Mario Eighta steps forward with ‘Otus' which showcases his originality and sophistication as an artist. Anchored by a deep, chugging groove and smooth rhythmic pulses, the energy is fluid from the outset. Haunting tones, icy overlays and otherworldly arps steal the air as the first act evolves, elegantly moving through a forest of finely tuned percussion and wispy effects. Carrying into the main break, it's a series of astral sonics and haunting vocal pads which add mightily to the narrative, marrying beautifully with the interlude's darker monochromes, before percolating arps emerge for a prophetic moment and groovy finale. The companion piece ‘Berhert' finds Mario collaborating with fellow countryman Kleinfinger. Together the duo masterfully synthesize their talents into one singular progressive minded vision. Deeper and more atmospheric than its predecessor, it's a series of symphonic synth phrases which dominates the narrative, laid out perfectly over a bed of rippling grooves and punchy kick drums. Gathering an even greater astral tone, it is the main break which proves to be the highlight, melting down to a cavernous cinematic calm, before perfectly segueing into an understated drop and swirling atmospheric finale. 

The lone interpretation of ‘Otus' is provided by John Cosani. On the strength of early tracks John earned the praise of genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, in turn landing standout projects via Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers, Tale & Tone and more. Looking to further diversify his resume, John now makes his Clubsonica debut with a stellar take on ‘Otus'. Smooth and groovy across the first movement, John continues his stylized ways with buoyant grooves, operatic voices and retro chord stabs creating an eventful path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in a thought provoking space, John's quirky melodies rise out of calming atmospheres as the interlude evolves, adding perfectly to its concise yet anticipatory nature, before eventually breaking off into a percussive drop and shapeshifting conclusion.

The release concludes with Bemannte & Bruder. Hailing from Ireland, the Bemannte & Bruder duo first emerged in 2021 with a series of releases via longstanding UK imprint Stripped Recordings. Armed with a timeless progressive sound, Bemannte & Bruder were immediately tipped as a name to watch. Now, following a summer EP for Eleatics affiliate Aletheia Recordings, Bemannte & Bruder make their Clubsonica debut with a groovy interpretation of ‘Berhert'. Taking inspiration from the original, the Irish production team flexes their free-thinking muscles and crafts a version that lands comfortably between the surreal and exotic. Neatly manicured percussion and a thunderous, hip-swinging groove set the course for snatches of panoramic arps and orbiting effects, which ultimately highlight the first act. Coming to full fruition across the main break, a dystopian mood emerges as prophetic atmospheres and billowing tones converge, eventually giving way to a glowing arp-driven finale. A timeless interpretation from Bemannte & Bruder, which rounds an excellent Clubsonica debut for Mario Eighta, an artist who you'll certainly be hearing more from in the future.

Clubsonica Records opens the month of October by welcoming TAYLAN to the label for his debut EP. Based in Los Angeles, TAYLAN first emerged in 2021 with a series of melodic house and techno releases via his musicbytaylan imprint. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, TAYLAN would go on a creative swell across the next two calendar years, landing key projects via Beatfreak, Manual Music, Steyoyoke and more, making him a rising talent to watch going forward. Now, continuing on that upwards trajectory, TAYLAN makes his Clubsonica debut with ‘Moringa | Earthbound', alongside remixes from Vešča and Andre Moret.

Much lauded for his melodic sound, TAYLAN continues to explore that narrative on ‘Moringa'. Wrapped within a smooth DJ friendly intro are punchy beats, pulsating basslines and a myriad of orbiting effects. The American's storyboarding takes hold as charming atmospheres, creamy arps and trance-inspired melodies emerge across the first act, carrying with them a sense of anticipation and emotion. The main break showcases TAYLAN's penchant for evocative musicality, as fragmented melodies continue to emerge amidst glowing atmospheric refrains and buzzing tones, eventually giving way to a groovy drop and uplifting finale. The companion piece ‘Earthbound' continues the progressive tone set by its predecessor and lands with a smooth hypnotic nature. Possessing a mesmerizing undercurrent, TAYLAN blends entrancing percussion and meandering melodic concepts over liquid-like grooves and sparkling effects, creating a mature no frills arrangement leading into the second act. Its transcendent appeal builds across a dreamy break, where cinematic pads and ghostly vocals converge, perfectly setting up a smooth drop as rolling arps and chugging rhythms unite for a colourful final act.

The lone interpretation of ‘Moringa' is provided by Vešča. Hailing from Argentina, Vešča has become a fixture in her country's burgeoning nightlife, sharing the stage with Eli&Fur, Gorje Hewek, Miss Monique, Korolova and more. Also, a highly respected producer, Vešča's creative blend of progressive, melodic and organic house has found a home on Mango Alley, Shanti Radio and Traful. Now, adding Clubsonica to her resume, Vešča debuts on the label with an inspired rendition of ‘Moringa'. Beginning with a buoyant kick and chugging groove, the fast rising Argentine channels the melodic energy of the original through panoramic synths and percolating arps, before the main break delivers a mood lifting excursion which perfectly sets up a tastefully timeless finale. 

The release concludes with Andre Moret for the lone interpretation of ‘Earthbound'. As one of Brazil's most highly regarded progressive house artists, Andre has achieved many successes across his five-year career. World class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been regular supporters, while his inimitable productions have found a home on Deepwibe Underground, Plattenbank, The Soundgarden, Univack and more. Now, following an EP for Sebastian Busto's Moonlight imprint, Andre makes a welcome return to Clubsoncia with a groovy rendition of ‘Earthbound'. Focusing on a less conventional monochrome, Andre goes deep and techy for what results in a thrilling eight-minute journey. Dark rebounding rhythms and deep chugging basslines set the course for waves of flickering percussion, drifting vocals and growling stabs. Looking to bring a greater emotional response, the main break shifts the narrative through clustered arps, wispy effects and glowing pads, before a clever coax of tension-filled modulation perfectly sets up a stripped drop and smooth meditative finale. A heady interpretation from Andre, which rounds out an excellent label debut for TAYLAN, an artist who continues to be one of the USA's most hotly tipped progressive house talents.
