Camouflaged

ne of Chicago’s brightest new bands, Lightfoils pushes the shoegaze genre into new territory. Formed in 2010, the band is comprised of Neil Yodnane and Zeeshan Abbasi on guitars, Jane Zabeth on vocals, Cory Osborne on bass and John Rungger on drums.
 
Lightfoils mean business. Building on the promise of their EP, Hierarchy arrives and does not disappoint. “Polar Waves” welcomes you with guitars that chime and ring, before the track slowly lifts you blissfully into space. Immediately following is “Last One”, which seethes with a simmering intensity and propulsive rhythm section, and you’re hooked. Only two tracks in, Lightfoils already own your soul.
 
Hazy soundscapes, ringing guitar, icy synth, feather-light vocals, and actual compelling tunes, Lightfoils use Hierarchy to serve notice: their EP was no fluke, and they will no longer be ignored. If you’re new to Lightfoils, drop the needle on “Diastolic”, “Last One”, or the strangely compelling “alovetodestroy” and you’ll begin to understand what all the fuss is about. But there’s more than just three tracks to this album. Once you get inside, it’s a beautifully rich and textured world to explore.

The Terror

CLUSTERSUN have established themselves as a solid reality in the international panorama of fuzz & reverb purveyors. Their cosmic and 3D signature sound delivers massive walls of fuzz, otherwordly reverberations and psychedelic trips.
The trio formed in 2013 and debuted with a self-produced single, "Be Vegetal", that was noticed by Dave Allison of US indie label Custom Made Music and featured in the compilation CMM Summer Sampler. 
In 2014 they released the first album "Out Of Your Ego" (Seahorse Recordings) whose lead single "Hipgnosis" was featured in "REVOLUTION – The Shoegaze Revival", massive international compilation out in 2015 via Raphalite Records (UK/Canada) and Gerpfast Kolektif (Indonesia). CLUSTERSUN supported "Out Of Your Ego" extensively with a tour that also reached the US, with gigs in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and other cities of the East Coast. 
They also contributed to the compilations "Rock Back For Nepal Vol. I" (2015) and "Rock Back: Stronger Than The Storm" (2017), both issued by Patetico Recordings (US), and to The Blog That Celebrates Itself’s tributes to Echo & The Bunnymen ("Gods Will Be Gods", 2016) and Slowdive ("Just For A Life", 2017).
On 19th May 2017, CLUSTERSUN released the sophomore album "Surfacing To Breathe", again via Seahorse Recordings, with singles "Raw Nerve" and "Lonely Moon" receiving up to 40k views on YouTube. The new album "Avalanche", will be released on March 03rd 2021 by Icy Cold Records (FR) and Little Cloud Records (US).
