The only prerequisite is prevalent passion. As you already know, we at Chronicles are not limited by any genre bias. All genres are welcome. The essence of this segment is the anatomy of the mix and the technical skills utilised to create that story.

This week we have @Haideruppal, a rising electronic music producer from Lahore, Pakistan, has quickly gained recognition as one of the industry's most promising talents.

We first heard their music from a cover show done on NTS Radio for @NabihahIqbal, where we must have shazammed the entire set!

This particular mix and art is inspired by a recent party on the coast in Pakistan, with a spacey and ethereal feel

With a unique blend of influences from Detroit's legendary techno / house scene and his South Asian roots, Haider's evolving sound spans melancholic dub-infused textures to captivating grooves.

Featured twice in Mixmag & supported directly by influential artists like Sasha and Lee Burridge, his original productions, remixes and collaborations on renowned record labels have propelled his global presence.

Uppal’s musical career started as a teenager back home in Lahore, but ‘Graduated’ began to take shape while attending school in Michigan, where he soaked up the sounds of house and techno emanating from nearby Detroit.

You can hear faint echoes of the kind of music that Motor City artists like the late Mike Huckaby would make while in house mode — but Uppal’s music shares even more in common with the vaguely hallucinatory sound of artists like YokoO.
