Over the past few years my daughter has been living with me more and more, and like any parent knows your kid's music taste ends up rubbing off on you. When "Happier Than Ever" dropped in 2021, we had it playing every morning at breakfast for weeks. Each time "Not My Responsibility" came on, there was something about that moody, gloomy vibe (and the meaning behind the lyrics) that always stuck with me.
I'd told myself I'd try to tap into that atmosphere one day... then life happened, and I forgot about it. Until this summer, when the idea resurfaced out of nowhere and I finally sat down to explore that world. This track is the result.

Hypress is happy to keep releasing and promoting music as outlets and connections are needed now more than ever. Today, we present @Matvrak as her taste for Electro, Techno & Acid perfectly reflects our own inclinations.  Matvrak  is part of the Vinka Kart collective. She moved from Hamburg to Berlin, and became a resident of "Zur Klappe »  one of Berlin’s most notorious mini club. She’s pushing her production skills, and we’re excited to here what she comes up with. He started releasing Electro music in 2009 on the @Paul-Blackford label @MilitantScience, and after a break, he is back behind the machines producing music at a staggering speed! He mostly uses VST plug-ins, however has acquired a Moog Grandmother and a Microbrute and is integrating those into his workflow.
