PREMIERE: Marsolo - The Link

Open Your Mind was originally born from the creative bond between James Harry, Michael Davis Jr., and the talented voice of Nia Moore. Nia, a New York–based singer with past experience as a backing vocalist in local groups and in Chicago, brings a fresh and soulful tone, still relatively unknown in the international House Music scene.

James and Michael, lifelong friends, started their journey in high school with the band James The Soulful & Waves, later joined by their close friend George Miller. Together they recorded in a small studio, rooted in Black Music traditions: funk, soul, jazz, and soulful, later venturing into house explorations. James on guitar and bass, Davis on trumpet and saxophone, and George on keyboards and synths – three session musicians who continue to contribute their craft to the American music scene.

The long-standing friendship between James and the Italian musicians Michele Gambi and Elisabetta Trevisan (Betty.T) made this project even more meaningful.

Open Your Mind was first written and composed by James Harry and performed by Nia Moore in 2023 as a jazz fusion piece. Later, thanks to the collaboration with DJ LUCA G and the independent label AERP🌀MUSIC, the track was reimagined and released as an Extended Club Mix designed for DJs and dancefloors, blending Soulful, Deep House, and Jacking House with a modern club-ready sound.

The title and sonic direction were inspired by legendary groups such as The Gap Band, Kool & The Gang, and Shalamar, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens while keeping the spirit of musical friendship and passion alive.
