The first time I saw Laura "Alluxe" Escudé on stage, I was just wrapping my own set. Prior to opening for her, I wasn't aware of what a musical force she was, so my sister-bandmate and I stood there in awe of her beautiful sounds, and prowess. After discovering she had stems available, quite last minute I might add, I knew I had to join in. Working with and sampling her vocals was a real treat, and as usual the 80's synth arpeggios melted me like butter. Had a bit of fun with my Soundtoys Little Alter Boy plugin on this remix. Would definitely love to work with Laura's stems again in the future!

Casey Desmond and Casey Grabowski met in late summer of 2014 while Desmond was finalizing her East Coast tour, sharing 2 billings in and around Philadelphia. Desmond was billed as herself, and Grabowski as the Philadelphia-based synth-wave group NEAREST. 
Like many performers who share a stage, they loosely discussed collaboration and over the next year they worked to make it happen. 

In February 2016, Desmond released her 1st EP under the moniker CMB aka Cosmic Microwave Background, which featured their collab track EV. EV infuses Desmond's striking, up-front pop vocal, and lush synth pads, into Grabowski’s curated mix of cold orchestral stabs, and wandering arppegios, giving new life to each other’s take on the song's concept. The lyrics, in simple terms, are about the difficulty of letting go. 

The Casey's are happy to announce this remix package of “EV”, which features 5 new versions, as well as the original version for reference. The goal was to allow the remixers to take significant liberty on the concept, while still keeping some core elements. The result is an interesting array of work, ranging from cold-wave, to new-school house, to ambient glitch.

Elvin Tibideaux once saved a kid drowning in the Atlantic Ocean. True Story. Him and his lady was walking along the beach in a real cliche romantic like fashion right, and he heard this kid yelling for help. The lifeguards was way up the beach not paying attention and shit. So being the kinda person he is, he handed his girl his hat and sunglasses and ran into the ocean, swam out and saved this kid from drowning. True fucking story (or maybe it’s just a somewhat clever metaphor, choose your own adventure)
  Elvin Tibideaux enjoys playing records and making records and shit like that. He wishes he could sing like Jimmy Ellis or had a falsetto like Curtis. He has forthcoming releases on Let’s Play House and Mani/Pedi and hopefully more. He currently resides in Philadelphia with his 2 cats, his records, and his soul mate.

Remix by Pattern Behavior
Since forming in 2013, Pattern Behavior has found and identified sounds and rhythms covering a wide range of sonic territory while keeping a distinctive sound. Their deft compositions explore regions of dark ambient, minimal techno and deep four on the floor dance floor bangers. Using modular synths, vintage analog equipment and digital algorithms they distort, manipulate and fold everything from found sounds to Ms. Virosa’s voice into weird and wondrous creations. Using a Moog sub 37 as a central instrument, they create pulsating rhythms, while giving props to early industrial and synthpop influences. Pattern Behavior create heavy, hard-hitting music that digs deep into uncharted soundscapes and sonic realms.
