A cover version of the Shadows hit from 1962. It may bring back memories for anyone who spent time in Great Britain in the early 60's. It stayed at No. 1 for eight weeks in the British singles Charts.

A jaunty British military marching tune, best known as the song from 'The Bridge On the River Kwai'. I shamelessly stole all ideas from the Chet Atkins and Guy Van Duser recordings of this tune.

A late night blues jam.  My attempt at emulating the tone and feeling of the incomparable Peter Green.  In my opinion the greatest of the the 1960's British blues guitar players. This is what BB King thought of Peter “the only living guitarist to make me sweat. He had the sweetest tone I've ever heard”.

A happy little cha-cha medley called "Just for Tonight". This is a cover of the medley I heard Filipino guitarist RJ Jacinto play. The songs are: Just For Tonight, Never On A Sunday, Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White.

A song written by the Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra had a big hit with their 1940 recording. The song has been covered by various surf guitar bands. The Shadows also recorded a version of the tune.

Instrumental cover of The Beatles Michelle. This is based on the Chet Atkins arrangement.

Vaja Con Dios a popular song written by Larry Russell, Inez James, and Buddy Pepper. It has been recorded by many artists. The most well known is that recorded by Les Paul and Mary Ford which reached number one on the charts in June 1953 and stayed at number one for eleven weeks.

A song was written by jazz guitarist Johnny Smith in 1954. It was later recorded by Chet Atkins in 1956, followed by the 'The Ventures' in 1960. This is one the early 1960's instrumentals, along with those of Duane Eddy, and 'The Shadows',  which tweaked my interest in picking up a guitar.

I'll Get You

A surf guitar version of Bali Hai, a song from the Broadway musical South Pacific. A movie version was in released 1958. I stole all ideas from the Los Twang Marvels version.

Begin The Beguine is a Cole Porter song. Artie Shaw and His Orchestra recorded the song in 1938 and it became a huge hit. My version uses the backing track from  a version recorded by The Ventures, but playing the Chet Atkins arragnement over The Ventures backing track.

Sherry, by the Four Seasons, was a number one hit from the summer of 1962. Using the pocket money from my Dad It was the third 45 rpm I ever purchased, the first being  Claude King's 'Wolverton Mountain, the second  Gene Pitney's 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance'. All these years later it is still magic to my ears and I had a blast trying a guitar instrumental version.
