Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: Don’t gatekeep, don’t rush, find people you’re excited to share music with. Support your peers (listen and share their mixes, buy their music, go to their gigs)! 
The mix I initially prepared for this series I recorded a couple of times -  it felt like I was trying too hard to make something work and it just wasn’t sitting right… but after a night of djing at my friend Amelia Holt’s crib and then watching our friend liivwutang literally tear the club apart, I recorded this session the next day. I wasn’t recording with the intention of using it for anything so there was 0 pressure, I just plugged in my usb and tried to ride the vibes I was blessed with from the night before and something good happened. So record all your sessions and more importantly stay inspired/energized by the work n skills of other djs bc why did we wanna start doing this in the first place? some dj rocked your shit fr.

Wassu has another forthcoming collaboration with Marsh coming out on Marsh's artist album with Anjunadeep on the 20th of November. 

His artist releases span labels from the likes of Anjunadeep, When We Dip, Souksonic, Harabe Recordings, Silk Music, The Purr Music, and Poesie Musik. Wassu also recently supported Above & Beyond for their New Years Eve event in New York City at the New York Expo Center this past year. Further, his recent early support from the likes of James Grant, Marsh, Nora En Pure, David Hohme, M.O.S., Hosini, Adisyn, Nhii, Jim Rider, Newman, Jan Blomqvist, David Orin, and many others make Wassu a name to be on the lookout for in 2020 and beyond."

In the current club music landscape, any adherence to specific genres and styles is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Few stages bring this into as sharp relief as New York City, where the return to the halcyon days of its place as a dance music capital of the world has been well underway for some time now. Kristin Malossi’s work as DJ Voices, a founding member of the collective Working Women, and as booker for Ridgewood nightclub Nowadays, encapsulates this new riveting era perfectly and succinctly, imbuing any dance floor she touches with a unique, vital energy. Originally hailing from southern Florida, she spent her formative years in New York as a curator immersed in this multi-faceted and highly-charged scene. She crafted her own niche swiftly, and ever since then has worked tirelessly to champion and center the sounds and creators that moved her the most. From her resident nights at Nowadays, her regular shows on The Lot Radio, to her increasingly frequent sojourns to dance floors across the globe and mixes featured in Fact, Pitchfork and Resident Advisor, she’s bringing the frequencies and sounds that taught her to as many people as she can, and in a voice that is unmistakably her own.
