Pod kicks off on a sour note due to planned co-guest Effective Power bailing out due to cowardice (“sleep deprivation”), but still we persisted. No Denglord on this ep either, but for a valid reason (attending a Wonka director’s cut screening). We covered illegal rave incidents, stimulant theft, James Ferraro standom, esoteric Shed Theories, doing full individual albums with Tyler, The Creator AND Earl Sweatshirt, and just basically delivered a tidbit bonanza. Zero Fs given throughout 👍

After two cassette releases for the likes of Tokyo's Solitude Solutions and Barcelona's Angoisse, Motion Ward is delighted to present the debut of Kouhei Fukuzumi's Ultrafog project on the vinyl format. "How Those Fires Burned That Are No Longer" weaves through sliding metal timbres, textured air abstractions and wistful mallet sequences. This record, like all of Kouhei's work, is a take on sound as a representation of memory. Light and translucent, each song aims for a temporal snapshot that will inevitably fade into the well of thoughts and experience.

"Ode to Mud" (Side A)

Following on from last year´s set of hallucinatory vignettes for Milan´s Haunter Records on "Jemi" and the dissection of the possible tearjerking sensibilities of self-help twitter bots on 'You'll Always Stay Beautiful' for Bristol´s NoCorner, @Broshuda glides on to casually deliver this glistening and equally heartfelt 7 Inch for Cologne based Imprint RDK Island.

On the A side, a reflection in the half light resonance of evening/dawn envelops the fractal heavily melodic core of 'Face2'. Floating in some ebulliently chilled out existence not that far, but still quite on its own trajectory, from some of Mouse On Mars most absorbing moments. An hypnagogic cityscape, brimming with lives, real and imagined.
On the flipside 'Voices' hypnotic melody-as-dream gives way to a smoldering state of aural unease, borderline anxiety creeping in, an "orchestra" of filtered, fading voices & realities. Gliding as a state unto itself, neither here nor there. This reality's what you make of it.
