DESTITUTE label is back with our fourth release - the last one we have for you in 2021. This time we’re bringing you More Balance / خاڪو by ABADIR, a producer hailing from Cairo and currently stationed in Berlin, and 3HDSafxri, a producer that has been working within the Polish experimental scene for a long, long time. After the club constructions of our previous release this one plays with genres and breaks them down to create music that is as gentle and emotional as it is dramatic and hard hitting.

The entire proceeds from this release will be given to Chlebem i Solą - a Polish charity that is currently working way too hard to manage the migrant crisis on our border with Belarus.

I'm Joshua Chuquimia Crampton.
You can call me Josh if you'd like.

q. is there a story behind the set?
Rather than a mix of songs, I chose to record an improvised piece for electric & acoustic guitar + tape recorder.
I used two guitars and performed it in sequence, editing each section live on the tape recorder as I went along. What you hear is what I played that night.

q. what's the best way to enjoy your set?
Whenever you'd like your brain to buzz.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
Yes.

The situation in Ukraine is very difficult. Some people have lost access to food and drinking water, some people have lost their homes and jobs, some children have lost their parents. So we have come together for a series of music streams on YouTube to help people affected by the war. All funds raised will be used to purchase essential goods for civilians. Cherubic voices, sparkling drums, and drones on their way back home from an all-nighter set the scene for this compilation. 19 artists have made sonic references to the hormone that acts to regulate our wellbeing. This is the second release from a series that is musically themed on psycho-sensory states of happiness, or the lack thereof.

Profits from this release will go to the Black Cultural Archives and Raw Music Media. 2 Brixton based organisations / charities.
