A new exhibit chronicling 34+ years of the CMU Public Radio program 'Our Front Porch' opens this week in Central Michigan University's Clarke Historical Library. Host John Sheffler speaks with Mike Horace about the exhibit, and his memories of the show.

An early August performance marked the culmination of a project funded by the Mackinac Island Community Foundation.

It all began with a composition by Scott Harding, Professor of Theory & Composition at Central Michigan University; the first movement of his suite Scenes of Mackinac, called <em>North Shore at Dusk.</em>From there, the music was presented to artists in other disciplines; poetry, painting, beadwork, pottery and filmmaking. 

In an "Artistic Response Chain," each craftsman provided an interpretation. That collaboration was collectively shaped into a final musical presentation along with the visual aspects of the process.
