Lagaffe Tales continue their impressive vinyl releases with an all-star European line up. The Icelandic label are again about to fill your eardrums with an array of house tracks. Out 12th of May on Lagaffe Tales.

Rolling out first and now playing ball on his home-court, Dirt Crew newcomer Felix Leifur introduces the sampler. “Eitt” comes soaked in soul and deadly stabs. His unique flavour is permeated all over this dancefloor filler. As weird and wonky as Felix gets, this one just about tops it. Twisting minds with his wizardry since his first release and by the sounds of this track, he has no plans to slow down. 

The second track on the EP comes from German duo, Coeo. This track will evoke the familiar 6am sunrise in this carefree deep club cut. “Clouds” has hard hitting drums that are infused in the soft piano riff creeping in and out accompanied by other hypnotic sounds. Caution! A journey into a deep state of dreamland awaits... 

The theme of European imports continues, this time Vienna based main man, Mooney Me lends his talents to the Icelandic label. His gift is “Soul”. With captivating percussion, a mean ass bassline all melded together with ethereal melodic chimes. A groove that will make any basement sweat out their worries. 

Rounding off is Swedish newcomer, Sune. If you’re looking for a groove that will get your body bouncing and leave a wide smile on your face, you’ve found it! His input is “I’ll Be Right Back” .a serious peak time mover! This cut of the legendary “Roy Ayers - The Golden Rod” supplies the floor with a deep disco vibe. Horns are in full swing with this one and are welcomed with some infectious high piano. This will have your hands in the Ayer within seconds.

PAPA RECORDS are delighted to present REWIND a stunning debut album by one of our favourite modern producers, SEBB JUNIOR.

SEBB has only been into House music since 2013 so his progression is something quite incredible. After quality releases on PAPA, LARGE, SALTED, MADHOUSE and his own label FRIGO VIDE, SEBB has delivered an album that has been in the making for some time.

“I wanted the record to be a deep House album combining a real nostalgic feel with modern sounds. This project is a journey into all my musical influences since I was a teenager. 

I wanted to give it an urban feel also since I have deep roots in Hip Hop. This is a very personal and intimate deep House album. The beats, the ideas, the sound textures and samples are ideas I had in my mind for many years, just waiting for the right moment to use them.”

“I called the album ‘Rewind’ for the same reason I decided to use ‘Junior’ in my artist name. Even though I am a 40 year old guy, I am making the House music today I should have made when I was a teenager in the early 90s. Discovering the excitement and feeling of a great sample, a phat groove, a dope synth sound or even what drum machine my favourite producer is using.”

REWIND truly is a 5 star collection in an era of fads and conveyer belt music and will undoubtedly stand the ultimate test of time.

London based label Hardmatter is gearing up to release their sophomore project from Detroit legend, Javonntte. Rarely seen but often heard, Javonntte ( has toured with Aretha Franklin, been featured on tracks with Andrés, Amp Fiddler, Blake Baxter & has had some very rare and sought after releases on now defunct label Noveau Riche. More recently, he’s released on Kai Alce’s NDATL and Patrice Scott's Sistrum Recordings.

The EP begins with the beautiful, “Sometimes,” a track aimed to influence hazy late night excursions where words are scarce and vibes are pure. Javonntte, like so many other house legends, knows how to craft deep, soulful tracks using only a few instruments, something that is indeed challenging and a testament to producers who know their equipment inside and out. Here we have nothing but the essentials, driving analog percussion, a funky bassline, deep pads, and flourishes of synthesizers and pianos all supported by a hypnotically “reverbed-out” vocal courtesy of the man himself. And just as he sings, “some things will never change,” we hope that music like this will never die. Now and forever, deep house is eternal. Detroit stand up.

Paris and Lyon-based @InAnyCaseRecords are back again with their brand of dusty, sample house. For their third release they are welcoming back co-founders G2S and Cutouane (also known as Malouane), they also welcome back Manuel Nie and invite newcomers Kaffe Crème and 4004 to the label. The first three releases were prepared well in advance and so the sound has been extremely consistent across the board thus far. Give credit to the label heads (Clément, Théo & Johanna) for having a vision and following through with it. The imprint's sound itself spans from edits to downtempo beats to the aforementioned dusty house sound. Although the sound itself isn't a revelation by any stretch, the effectiveness with which the outlet carries it out is to be admired.

Today's Bolting Bits premiere comes courtesy of the B1 by Mexican producer @4004_Reasons. A staple on Quintessentials and FACES Records, 4004 has a very distinct sound. His jazzy, organic, sampled house is easily recognizable and he's gone back to what he does best for Dice Bar. A swung groove with natural sounding drums? Check. Mellow Rhodes chords and jazzy keys? Check. Deep and subby bassline? Check. All of the right elements are present as usual, just using different samples and the glissando string is one that really stands out in this particular production. Like the label itself, 4004 isn't reinventing the wheel, but he is making a damn good one.
