This was a remix where I took a huge step outside my comfort zone and did a little bit of singing. I'm not great at singing at all, but I wanted to try something new, and making a chill track paying tribute to some of my inspirations and reflecting on myself seemed like a good place to do it.

This was the start of a crazy month in March. This was my entry to JayHavoc's laser beam cypher, I ended up coming second, but this was another one of those tracks where I had a ton of fun making it, and I didn't really make it to win anyway.

This is a track I made with Moxas after I messaged him on Instagram, I've been enjoying his music for a very long so it was awesome to be able to get on a song with him. I was really happy with how this song turned out and I saw it as a perfect way to say fuck you to the haters out there.

BitchNoWay! (Feat. Moxas) (Prod. Alex Ghinea)

This was an entry to Crypt's Youtube Cypher Volume 2 contest. I didn't end up placing or even being mentioned, but this entry was far different to any other entry I saw, and I personally felt like I put my best foot forward, but better luck next time. I'm still happy I made it because its something so different from my other music sonically.

This track was a last minute collaboration, I was originally going to have another Artist on the song, but I ended up getting Samad on there last minute. He recorded his verse and video within a day and came through right on time. He's such a legend for that, and I'm so happy with how the track turned out.

Around You was a track created for the Dreamlife Artist Dream Contest, but it ended up being one of my most content heavy and lyrically focused tracks that I've ever created. It's a song that means a lot to me and focuses a lot on my issues with the government and just trying to operate under the rules and expectations society sets for us.

Need Em Then was my third entry in Kato's No Sucka MCs contest. I decided to take a break from the aggresive banger approach I usually take and I think it resulted in a pretty great track. This song is all about just being yourself and being able to be independent of others, I think it's a very important message and I'm happy I could deliver it.

Raised in outback Roma, QLD, CNTRL is a man with a firm belief; that control of self and soul, can nurture prosperity for himself and others around him. Hip-hop found CNTRL at a young age, and from the moment the culture touched his heart he knew exactly what he wanted out of life. 

Inspired by the vivid storytelling of Nas, the authentic soul of Big K.R.I.T. and the unrestrained voice of Denzel Curry, the unlimited possibilities of Rap music became very apparent to CNTRL, so he began to write. CNTRL grew to understand what Hip-Hop truly was about: giving a voice to those who never felt heard, a voice they could use to take control of their lives. That word, ‘Control’ was one that only made sense as his artistic identity. Hip-Hop was an opportunity for him to not only find his authentic voice, but take control of his destiny. 

CNTRL’s music is all about freedom of expression, speaking from the heart and the soul while still remaining focused on being a standout lyricist and an energetic performer. Above all else, CNTRL wants to be an inspiration to others, a voice for those who have none and a helping hand to the people who are down on their luck. He wants to be to his fans, what Hip-Hop was to him: hope.
