For October’s Co-Select show on Netil Radio, we are buzzing to announce that we have two very special guests from Daytimers. Moorni has recently opened the Daytimers stage at  Body Movements Festival, playing a selection of different dance music genres including Queer Pop, 2-Step, and Garage House. She is a keen illustrator and artist and is an active contributor to Daytimers artwork. Joining her is Zar, a drummer, DJ and producer who also helps to run Daytimers and played at their takeover of the Kite Bar at Brainchild Festival this year. Expect a range of bits around 140bpm tempo, with some hidden surprises in store.

Angel D'Lite & Local Group joined us last week for 2 hours of hardcore, rave and breakbeat stompers. Very admired in the London and UK scene, we have invited them to headline our first Co-Select party of the year this coming December 17th at Low Profile Studios in Tottenham (tickets >>>  https://ra.co/events/1476682 ) 🔗🔗🔗

Producer and set designer Angel D’lite is a regular at the club and on the Netil Radio transmission 'J’adore Hardcore'. She channels the same colourful energy into her productions, which have made the artist stand out on several occasions within recent times (see her Banoffee Pies Records release 'Dolphins Have Sex For Pleasure' and her contribution to the Lobster Records compilation with the track 'Rise Up').

UK festival Field Maneuvers' residents Local Group (LMajor and Corporeal Face) are another bomb up to no good. Bringing hardcore, breakbeat, garage and jungle into a timeless rave sound, their 2018 ‘Laser Dome’ EP on Ritual Poison was a homage to the festival's Sputnik tent they play in. Following further releases on Corrupt Data, Secret Rave, Human Concrete Block and Dead Trax, out now is a four-track EP on 1Ø PILLS MATE, which comes with a remix from their b2b partner of tonight, Angel D’lite.

After a long hiatus, the Co-Select Presents series returns with the first mix of 2022. Get hyped for Ryo Kurashina, a DJ who has been around London for the past couple of years and is a very close friend of ours. In this mix he brings through a dark energy that gives reminders of the likes of Lee Gamble or Andy Stott, filled with rhythms and ethereal sounds, a left-of-centre hypnotic dystopia.

Ryo is one of the core members of the SODAA collective and helps coordinate the Radio team who have successfully run takeovers at Netil Radio and Boat Live. Alongside his work with SODAA, Ryo holds residencies at 1020 Radio and Loose FM with shows on alternating months.

We are super excited for March's edition of our monthly show on Netil Radio. Joining us are a group of young DJs who have been quietly running a monthly party at Corsica Studios for the past couple of years. Platforms has been a consistent winner and we have invited their founders Tuva Luna, Alpha Fett Baby, and Robek to grace the decks with a 2 hour b2b2b of dancefloor bangers.

Platforms runs every Tuesday night providing a weekly platform for collectives, radio stations, record labels and electronic music societies to showcase their talents. It is a fun and dynamic night which goes against the grain of midweek clubbing, run by and for your local music lovers

The Co-Select crew are back with an explosive sonic duo - KT b2b Lex G!

Lex G, multi-genre vinylist, renowned digger and founder of label/platform Gunfinger Food. Links up with a long-time friend in the music scene, KT, off the back of their debut set closing the main room at Corsica a few weeks back. KT, working in the forefront of the scene for over a decade, a northern crate digger extraordinaire, she has been a regular at The Cause, Village Underground and The Lion and Lamb with her sublime selections. Her sound and taste encapsulates everything from 90’s house, electro, trance, prog, garage, new wave breaks and everything in-between.
Expect more of this fierce duo in the future as they combine their record crates to deliver magic on the dancefloor.

Shriya is a London-based, Manchester-born DJ and enjoys mixing everything from cheesy pop to RnB classic to everything ready for the dancefloor which could be heard at her set at this year's Body Movements Festival. Following a summer of festivals and enjoying the return to music following the pandemic, she will be playing a dancefloor-ready set featuring an eclectic mix of dancefloor heaters, soundcloud gems and of course shameless pop-edits. Joining her will be Co-Select resident Mandle bringing the usual selection movers and groovers.

Next up in the Co-Select Presents series is @d-joyce, bringing us a bass-heavy mix blending breaks, electro, grime, jungle and footwork.
D-Joyce is from Morocco and moved to Istanbul in 2018, where he became involved in the local bass music scene. He hosts weekly radio show OH YEAH alongside Co-select’s Emmy Bacharach on the Istanbul-based station Radyo Modyan.

VAMP Sonic's founder @syddviscose contributes to our series with an hour of mystical rhythms blending clumsy dance with broken pop.

Sydd Viscose’s work centres on campaigning for better equality in the music industry. Alongside spotlighting LGBTQIA+, non-binary and womxn artists working in experimental sound and music with her platform VAMP sonic, she has been booking acts and curating lineups around Scotland and hosting regular radio shows on Threads and Bristol's Noods.
