Rob Booth steps up in Hour 1 with a mix celebrating 2 years of the excellent Houndstooth record label, where he heads up A & R and he also runs the well respected Electronic explorations podcast. Another Falty DL Solid Steel intro starts the show and Rob had this to say about his mix;
“I wanted to present the mix in two parts, the Solid Steel way. The 1st half showcases repertoire primarily from the 1st eighteen months, no better way than starting with our inaugural record, the Present Tense 12” by Call Super, such an exciting artist culminating with his recent critically acclaimed debut album. Of course I also had to include a few tracks from the Soul Music LP, Paul Woolford’s Special Request moniker, especially the Hackney Parrot VIP, coupled with the polished jungle/techno experimentalism of Akkord and the 160bpm mosaic of Throwing Snow.
As the mix enters the 2nd half the emphasis moves to our latest signings, Berlin based Marquis Hawkes, Norwegian duo Soft as Snow and LA duo 18+, who’ve kept us busy this past year with the mix concluding with Jassy Graz on vocals, a personal favourite, was so good to see Ross and Jassy invited to Maida Vale LIVE for Radio 1. I can’t stress enough the privilege of being on SS, I’ve been archiving these shows for so long now”

SVA the pioneers of Oldskool House and Garage events return with our first instalment of 2017, we have hosted the most amazing parties at landmark venues including Ministry of Sound, Aquarium, Legends, Emporium, Heaven, Club Colosseum and Proud 2 at the O2Arena and 51st State Festival. 

On Saturday 4th March, we return to London's best underground venue, Great Suffolk Street Warehouse to celebrate our 16th Birthday! As expected, you will have another superb line-up of your favourite artists over 4 arches to once again take you back to the original Oldskool vibe and party atmosphere. Headlining our main arch will be the legendary Matt Jam Lamont with a special Old Skool set and the amazing Kristine Blond performing her House & Garage anthems. 

It doesn't stop there - we also have another 3 arches of music playing the best in Oldskool Jungle classics headlined by the dynamic duo DJ Lipmaster Mark and MC Everson Allen aka Ratpack, with a PA from the one and only Shades of Rhythm as well as 80's, 90's Soul RnB, Soca and Bashment headlined by the Firin Squad with a PA from R&B legend Horace Brown! Last but not least, we have Soulful and Deep House hosted by the one and only Housefm.net. 

The GSS warehouse has been renovated boasting level flooring throughout the venue and posh toilets with hand sanitizing stations. 
Remember its cash only bars! No credit cards or cash machines in the venue.

This event will sell out in advance so get your tickets early, also doors will open at 22.00 so please arrive early to avoid disappointment!

Please do not drive to this event - there is no parking on the streets near the venue and you may face being clamped.
