Nascido no Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo é um dos maiores representantes da música eletrônica na cidade maravilhosa. Sua carreira despontou no ano de 2008 quando conquistou residências em clubs como Fosfobox, Dama de Ferro e Clandestino. De lá para cá se firmou como DJ residente de diversas festas voltadas para música eletrônica, o que culminou na sua residência na festa RARA - responsável por trazer ao Rio lendas como Derrick Carter e Derrick May em suas duas primeiras edições. Bernardo teve a árdua tarefa de fazer warm-up pra esses ícones, e nas duas oportunidades, saiu da cabine elogiado por todos (inclusive os artistas). No currículo ainda contam apresentações ao lado de Solomun, Booka Shade, Jamie Jones, Magda, Anthony Rother entre muitos outros. É o fundador do selo Molotov21 ao lado do DJ Pedro Mezzonato e metade do projeto Toucan com Olliver Mach. Como produtor musical conquistou posições nas charts do site Beatport e teve o suporte do gigante Maceo Plex em 2 dos seus releases entre outros grandes nomes como Maya Jane Coles, Mandy, Robert Owens e mais. Em 2016 lança o projeto Jack Jack com produções de vanguarda aonde produz não só os beats como todos os vocais das músicas. No ano de 2013 foi um dos DJs mais requisitados no Rio de Janeiro ,o que lhe rendeu o Prêmio Noite Rio como melhor DJ de música eletrônica da cidade, além de uma residência de verão no paradisíaco Tikal Praia Bar, na praia de Algodões, Península de Maraú, Bahia. É também o nome por trás da Festa Base, que completou 7 anos e 26 edições em 2015. Um dos maiores fenômenos recentes do Rio de Janeiro, a festa começou como uma reunião de amigos no Fosfobox e hoje leva um público de 3 mil pessoas por edição em cartões postais da cidade como o Pier Mauá e a Estação Leopoldina. Desde o início, sua carreira vem crescendo de maneira gradual e bem pensada. Está baseada numa pesquisa musical e background que lhe conferem respeito do underground, ao mesmo tempo que sabe se adaptar às pistas que encara, podendo agradar também públicos mais pops.

Ich öffne meine Augen und Sonnenstrahlen kitzeln mein Gesicht. Draußen scheint ein wundervoller Tag begonnen zu haben. Doch mir bereitet das helle Licht nur einen stechenden Schmerz in meinem Kopf. Genervt wende ich mich zur Seite und flüchte aus der Sonnenseite des Bettes. Eine unbekannte Schwere macht sich in mir breit und raubt mir jeden Antrieb. Die Ereignisse der letzten Tage fordern ihren Tribut. All das Erlebte habe ich bisher nicht ansatzweise reflektieren können. Mein Kopf hat bisher alles verdrängt und mir den Rücken frei gehgalten damit ich einfach funktionieren kann. Doch jetzt scheine ich mich dieser Aufgabe stellen zu müssen. Erinnerungen kommen unwillkürlich in mein Bewusstsein und wollen eingeordnet werden. Was war Fiktion und was Realität. Wo habe ich mich richtig verhalten und was hätte ich besser machen können. Doch ich schaffe es nicht in diesen Kategorien zu denken. Etwas in mir weigert sich die nahe Vergangenheit zu beurteilen. Statt Klarheit zu schaffen, verunsichert mich der ganze Denkprozess und verursacht nur noch heftigeren Kopfschmerz. Und so fliegen einfach Szenen der vergangenen Nacht unkommentiert durch mein Gedächtnis und verschwinden wieder in der großen Dunkelheit. Eine Dunkelheit die in mir existiert und etwas zu verbergen scheint. 
Ich sammle all meine Kraft und raffe mich auf. Schließlich ist draußen immer noch ein schöner Tag, der auf mich wartet. Also Sonnenbrille auf und raus vor die Tür. Hier nervt die Sonne auch weit weniger und gibt mir im Gegenteil sogar Kraft. Jetzt noch Musik auf die Ohren und eine Runde durch den Stadtwald, um die Akkus aufzuladen

003 of our series is curated and mixed by a veteran DJ in the Northern B.C., Canada electronic music scene and current curator for the Beach Stage at Valhalla Music Festival (https://bit.ly/3Jg6uYU), DJ ABomb. A quick note, this Northern gem of a gathering (Valhalla) has been taking place since 2019 with professional staging supported by none other than PK Sound; if you’re in the neighbourhood, check it out.

Abomb has been an integral part of the electronic music scene in Northern B.C. as a club/rave promoter and DJ starting back in the golden era of the late 90s rave scene. You can usually find him at his brewery (https://bit.ly/3WJf6KL) pouring pint or spinning tunes in the back.

“This mix is what I played at the Valhalla Music Festival in 2022 which was the festival’s closing set, at the beach stage. It really is a cool venue! Under the canopy of old growth spruce and cedars trees, a dance floor of sand and sound. I started my set a little crunchy and worked my way up to some tracks that I thought would close out a festival with driving, vibey, emotional sounds.” - A-bomb

Torie’s sound is multifaceted – to say the least. Coming from a global upbringing and current home base in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has been curating sonic adventures as a DJ and event producer for a decade. Torie interweaves elements of breakbeats, house, minimal, dark & driving techno, garage, acid, and drum and bass – balancing a line between heavy-hitting basslines and soulful vocals with ear-catching melodies.

She believes in the power of groove and always plays with one core intention in mind: to bring newfound life to the dancefloor.

As a core lead of Inquiry Collective and Inquiry Records, a builder & maker with Burning Man art cars ICARUS and Dusty Rhino, a resident DJ of You’re Welcome SF, and a co-founder of Dance With Haha, Torie draws inspiration from the dusty plains of the playa, the curious explorations of the Mojave desert, the underground dancefloors of SF, & the interstellar endeavors of ICARUS & its motley crew.

You may have also seen her with renowned crews like Space Cowboys, Distrikt, Ego Trip, and Desert Hearts – at the annual Breakfast of Champions block party on New Year’s Day for six consecutive years – or on the festival circuit at events including Lightning in a Bottle, Outside Lands, EDC Las Vegas, Northern Nights, Desert Hearts, The Untz Festival, Umbrella Weekend, Enigma, and Outside in Equinox. 

In 2025, you can find Torie throwing renegades and pop-ups with the Inquiry crew across California in clubs, deserts, undisclosed locations and beyond… as well as performing in SF, SD, Reno, LA and more.
