In Japan Connection Vol.1 I’m paying homage to Japan, so logically it features music from Japanese artists & labels (ranging from city-pop, jazz-fusion, death jazz, hip-hop to house, ambient and IDM) but also miscellaneous records from other places which are metaphysically connected with or evoke the feeling of the Land of the Rising Sun in my mind, including records kindly presented to me or bought in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kumamoto, Osaka, etc. and some artistic easter eggs too. ;-)
