In November Rush Hour is set to release a suitably celebratory and carefully curated compilation from Amsterdam scene stalwarts Kamma & Masalo, named in honour of their day and night party in Amsterdam that’s been going since 2014, and their former Worldwide FM radio show, Brighter Days. Positivity abounds across the compilation which draws not only on the dustiest corners of their record collections, but also the duo’s stash of secret weapons, previously unreleased re-edits, and new productions from friends within Amsterdam’s bourgeoning scene. The three tracks presented here offer a suitably vivid snapshot of the collection’s enticing blend of tactile and colourful house, sunrise-ready workouts, soaring disco, basement-ready throb-jobs, inspired dancefloor dubs and righteous boogie jams.

There’s ‘Kamma & Masalo’s Radio Edit’ of Discotheque’s 1982 Dutch-Belgian disco classic ‘For Your Love’– a highlight of their and Antal’s DJ sets over the last 12 months – and their previously unreleased ‘Dub’ of French-Cameroonian artist Anyzette’s 1984 gem ‘Baladoun’, a low-slung slice of drum machine-rich body music that blurs the boundaries between Italo-disco, Afro-boogie and proto-techno. The inclusion of Peffa’s ‘Routine’ highlights the pair’s ongoing relationship with the little-known producer. He’s been supplying them with unreleased secret weapons for some time and ‘Routine’ – an immersive and emotive treat that blends elements of deep house and Detroit techno – is one of his very best.

COHN's latest EP, "Wine and Reason," delves into the enigmatic realm of Cosmic House, halfway between indie dark disco and Balearic house. This EP weaves a narrative of nostalgia and pulsating energy resulting in a cathartic blend of dancefloor killers. All the 3 tracks are a deep dive into 80s-inspired sounds, intricate percussion, and a seamless fusion of electronic elements perfected by COHN's unique touch.
Wine and Reason opens with La Salita, probably the most DJ-friendly tracks of the EP with its heavy load of groovy percussion. The M1 synths and percussion-heavy composition harken back to the '80s era, while a darker bassline adds a clubby and almost Italo House atmosphere. This newbeat-ish bass really makes the identity of the track which serves as an invigorating introduction to the rest of the EP..

The 2nd track "For Reason," sounds like a sonic time capsule that transports listeners back to the vibrant era of early electronic music. COHN used his skills to create a masterful blend of classic sounds and contemporary production techniques. The throbbing basslines, combined with ethereal synths, create a dancefloor-ready bomb that resonates with both balearic enthusiasts and darker indie dance aficionados.

Closing the EP is "Worthy of the Weather," a track that showcases COHN's versatility in electronic music. This house-infused gem combines woodwind melodies with pulsating synths, resulting in a composition that almost touches progressive house and early trance sonorities. The track's fusion of elements creates a cathartic experience, perfect for those late-night moments in intimate club atmospheres.

Wine and Reason resonates as a testament to COHN's production dexterity, proving that the artist can traverse the multiple sonic landscapes of House music, between nostalgic balearic vibes to darker club bangers. This perfect mix made the EP a logical fit for Mister T.’s 9th release, as a continuation of their exploration of leftfield 90s influences into club music. As a whole, the EP encapsulates the mystique of the night into a cathartic explosion of unleashed creativity to efficiently lit the dancefloors.

‘The 12 Moons of Ikutaro’, originally slated for release in 1993 tells the story of Shioi, a young girl who embarks on an intergalactic journey to avenge the death of her father.

Her journey takes her to the solar system of Ikutaro, where she must visit each moon to defeat the ‘Moon Boss’, and ultimately destroy the ‘System Controller’. Aided by her ‘Liquid Sound Device’ she undertakes the task journeying between the moons on her ‘Model JP8080’ and meets various friends and foes on the way.

We are happy to present @vincentgericke’s first EP “Fierce Intent”, which is going to be released on the 22nd of June. It will also be the first EP to be published on trndmsk Records. Furthermore, trndmsk Records is going into slower directions after a two-year break and Vincent Gericke seems to be the perfect fit to reopen this project. He has not only convinced with several mixtapes in the past but has also been putting a lot of focus on music production lately and some of the results can be heard in the EP. The EP consists of four Original Tracks and three remixes from @sarkis_mikael, @elfenberg and @landhouse-raddantze. The first two tracks serve as a touching and slowly building beginning with a lot of emphasis on instruments such as Pianos, Guitars or the Armenian Duduk while soft synthesizers transition to the last two tracks that are a bit more forward going.
