2/26/23 1 Cor. 1:18-31  "The Cross Humbles and Unites Us"  The root problem behind the division in the Corinthian church was PRIDE.  The kind of pride that destroys unity in a church usually takes one of two forms: 1)pride in what we think we know, and 2) pride in who we think we are.

Main Points:
A) The Gospel does not need powerful preaching (or preachers) to be powerful.
B) Spiritual truth cannot be discovered or understood by the natural man.

3/12/23. 1 Cor. 3:1-4. "Christians Who Never Grow Up"   It is normal for babies to grow up.  This is true for physical and spiritual babies.  Christians who do not progress beyond spiritual infancy have chosen not to grow. In order to grow spiritually, we need to eat spiritual food and establish spiritual habits.

Abraham was circumcised as an outward sign of his identification with and obedience to that covenant.
We are now under the New Covenant.
A good question to ask is this:  Has baptism replaced circumcision as the sign of the covenant?  And if not, what is the role of baptism in the life of a believer today?
