On the song, Eddie wrote:
"The lyrics to Happy came about differently than any song I have written before. One day while driving in Los Angeles with my wife we were talking about a person's natural disposition. She labeled me an eternal optimist. I thought about that for a second before I replied that this world is hard on artists. In my 35 year music career starting in the late 70's in San Francisco and leading up until now that I had seen so many of my great musician friends slip away due to aids, drugs, car accidents, suicide and even santaria but that I had decided I was gonna be happy. My wife was moved by this and insisted I make a song out of it. 

I've attended many funerals in my life and I always think the same thing: Any day above ground is a good day."

Tepr sort son deuxième EP « Half below » toujours sur Partyfine, avec le leitmotiv « pop is more » en tête. 

Half Below élargit la brèche ouverte par Tepr sur son précédent EP « Hypnotease". Le spectre s’élargit, la House se fait mélodique, les rythmiques se font discrètes mais ne perdent jamais de vue la danse. 

La voix est présente, samplé et loopée sur les deux titres les plus pop, « Half Below » et « Whatever », tandis que le reste du EP fait office de face B nocturne, avec deux titres House instrumentaux. Tanguy Destable glisse doucement mais surement  vers une Dance music plus pop, où le synthétique et l'analogique se mettent au service de l’écriture.

Tepr sets to release his second EP  this year « Half Below », again on Partyfine, with the « pop is more » motto in mind.

Half below broadens the  breach Tepr opened with his last EP « Hypnotease ». The spectrum is wider, House becomes melodic, eurythmics more discreet but never lose sight of dance.

The voice is more present, sampled and looped on two tracks more pop, « Half Below » and « Whatever », when the rest of the EP is used as night-time B sides, with two instrumental House tracks. Tangy Destable slowly but surely slides towards a more pop Dance music, where synth and analog put themselves at the service of writing.

Satin Jackets return to Eskimo Recordings with ‘We Can Talk’, featuring the majestic vocals of UK-based singer Emma Brammer and remixes by Moullinex and Larse. ‘We Can Talk’ is the first single from the upcoming Satin Jackets debut album.  

Original darlings of Belgium’s long standing Eskimo imprint, Satin Jackets announce their debut album with another unashamedly vocal pop anthem featuring Emma Brammer. “‘We Can Talk’ sets the pace for the upcoming album,” the duo explained, “the album itself will be diverse and versatile. Two years of our heart and soul poured into it so it’s going to be the full listening experience.”

 ‘We Can Talk’ is an enveloping record delivering classy piano melodies, crisp beats and a soaring vocal from Scottish Emma Brammer. Recently featured on BBC Radio, London based Brammer elevates the mood for the new year as she explains, “I was hooked on the track [from] the first time. The lyrics are about the exciting and painful first love - maybe it's not so good for you but it feels historical. Loved working with Tim - just good vibes and good tunes.”

This indelible record from Satin Jackets comes with a genre-crushing remix from Portuguese native and Munich-based Moullinex, one of the founders of Discotexas, familiar for stellar remixes of RAC and Röyksopp & Robyn. The package is completed by a stripped back dub version by German producer Larse, renowned for work on Defected and Noir.

Satin Jackets is the brainchild of German music producer Tim Bernhardt alongside lead performer Den Ishu. Their debut album is due for release this April on the Eskimo imprint, having spent the last year between the studio recording it and taking their eponymous live show through the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe, opening their fluid pop appeal and accessible four-to-the-floor groove up to the world at large.

Mt. Si is a collaborative project among three friends in LA – Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids, Jesse Kivel of Kisses, and Classixx’s Michael David. “We’re all friends who originally got together to work on songs for the first Classixx album,” explained Jesse. “Mike and I wrote a track that I was supposed to sing, but Sarah came in and stole the show. From there we realized that we had good chemistry as a trio, writing and producing in a subtle, refined way. We’ve been slowly chipping away at songs for almost four years now. A relaxed and loose approach to the project, never settling until we have a great track has been one of the guiding principles.”

The group’s unhurried approach to music has yielded indisputable results: four great songs, dazzling examples of electronic pop at its most fluid and stylish. The three members’ individual strengths shine brightly, coming together with harmony to produce stunning ends.

The Limits EP is out February 5.

Following the release of Moi Je on Crosswalk late 2015, here comes the Remix EP, including revisited versions of the highly infectious song « Profite » by some of the best upcoming producers of the house/nu-disco scene. After gaining some huge attention on the original track, being playlisted on the TV Show « Le Petit Journal » on french national TV, climbing to the third step of the Hype Machine top 50 and being playlisted on Radio Nova in France, we felt it was time to offer this fantastic release a new treat.

The infamous french Kazy Lambist, laid down his soulful vocals on the single whereas the US based Capyac turned it into a proper banger. Boycott infused his chilled UK vibe in it, and the french new-comer Sable Blanc gave it a sweet house treat. 
Our dears AutoReverse took the track « Marche » and gave it their classic synth touch.
Give yourself some shiny disco vibes to get through the winter.
