A highlight from the iTunes #1 compilation ‘Anjunadeep 07’, Ryan Davis’ melancholic beauty ‘Brun’ gets reworked by two leading lights of the European underground, Luca Bacchetti and Matthias Meyer. Over the past decade Ryan Davis has carved out his own niche, with a unique brand of melodic techno, attracting wide-spread support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Jonas Rathsman, Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper. 

Following releases on Crosstown Rebels, Saved and Ovum over the past few years, along with a string of stand-out remixes, Italian producer Luca Bacchetti offers up a signature rework, intertwining an subtle groove with delicate cinematic chords that compliment the spacey sentiments of the original.

Hamburg influencer and Watergate resident Matthias Meyer takes the stage for the second remix, debuted in James Grant’s recent Deep House Amsterdam mix. Meyer offers a textured roller, infusing classic house elements that resonate beautifully alongside the original’s cosmic soundscapes; an uplifting and emotive dancefloor moment.

Why do we tell stories?

We breathe, we eat, we sleep. We seek connection. These are our basic human needs.

But there is one more need we all share, and it centres on stories. All across the world, stories are being recounted everywhere, in every imaginable way, at any given time. For telling stories is at the very essence of what it is to be human.

The universe of stories can be broken down into seven basic plots which underlie all stories ever told. Recognising these patterns is the gateway to unravelling the universal symbolic language from which all storytelling is spun.

With The Quest, Chapter 24 returns with seven stories in sound collected from artists across the world to bring these themes to life.

NHAR (My Favorite Robot, Correspondant) is a consummate storyteller, and he opens the book with the glistening space tech of 'Navigli'. This is quickly followed up by newcomer Dan Grassler, whose superb 'Going Back' with US vocalist KnowKontrol is powerfully brooding and promises great things for the Munich-based producer.

The momentum picks up further with the standout 'Over My Head', a dark and delicious cut from two returning Chapter 24 artists, Alex Zed and Billie Fountain.

The label welcomes Teho and Machino for their inaugural releases on the imprint. Frenchman Teho (Herzblut, Parquet) serves up a double helping of delight with the skilfully crafted 'Back To The Forest' and the tense tech house of 'Drunken Leads'. Meanwhile, Machino (Desert Hearts), one of a new wave of Tijuana-based producers, showcases his unique blend of potent techno and ambient influences on 'Perdidos'.

Finally, Melodule and Van Did bring the tales to a close with 'Téou 12', a dreamy, abstract piece that showcases wonky basslines, drifting pads and engaging sound design.

They say that there are only seven basic plots but a thousand different stories. 

And so, as the storyteller utters that age old, magical phrase "Once upon a time...", let yourself be carried away…

If the good times were bottled and turned into a three track EP, Euphoria is what wed call it. Direct from the brain frame of Kellerkind, a.k.a Marco Biagini, announcing his upcoming third studio album 'Mindtrip', this EP proves again why he is one of Stil vor Talents stalwart producers. The titular track Euphoria is a hip-swinging toe-tapper from the get-go. Upbeat yet downtempo, this cut is laced with junglesque samples, yet retains a perfectly calibrated atmosphere of dreamlike elation. Stepping it up in tempo, Hypnotique has just the right amount of repetition to draw the listener into a trance-like state, with somniferous synths and pitch-perfect vocals bringing you back to the present moment. Uyezwa rounds off the EP with an exotic flavour: the divine vocals of Zimbabwean Oluhle accompanying Kellerkinds masterful production. The lyrics describe the feeling of a heart in pain, reminding us that to speak is to heal, to let it pass. Distilling the essence of extreme happiness, and tempering it with a heady dose of realism, this EP is a must-listen for those with a penchant for full-spectrum sonic experience.

Kicking things off in suitable style is long-time friend and respected producer, Timo Mass. Striking a balance between driving dance-floor and a homage to the deep roots of “Blisss”; he carves a suspense laden interpretation, teasing that already iconic bassline into a stomping frenzy of elements in crafted unison; including a resonating vocal mantra - this is a different kind of late-night Blisss...

Whilst the album showcases a blissful soundscape of sounds culminated in his career as Rodriguez Jr., it would be amiss to not pay homage to the raw spirit of the dance. Here, we are pleased to welcome Martinez Sr. to the fore, Rodriguez Jr.'s new techno alter-ego. Chris was born on 1987 in Athens, where he is still living.

He studied Authomatic Electronic Systems at University of Seres. Chris works as a bartender from 2004 and this is how he has worked in many nightclubs in Athens and in a lot of traditional greek islands during all these years. On 2009 Chris worked as a music producer for a greek radio station on 93,4 Fm.

After all these steps of business, now he is owner of Barrera Cocktail Bar in Aegina,a coctail bar which opened on 2011.

Chris also plays music for his own pleasure and he works with it amateur. Mainly, his favorite kinds of music are the following : Electro , Proggresive, Altternative, Minimal, Indie and he supports all the greeks music producers.
