I don't really have a lot of chill for guns. Or anything really. I try to interact with people as little as possible because its usually a mistake. I have a core group of people I don't see a whole lot but we pick up just like we were a few years later. Back in the day, we'd leave each other increasingly unhinged voicemail messages for a laugh. This would be like 02 or whatever. 

Gun culture in the US is gonzo shit. I keep trying to reconcile my love of violence with guns but gun violence is usually pretty boring? It sucks to get shot, you might die. But somehow any damn fool can get their hands on life ending hardware faster than they can get into therapy. Let me touch on the therapy thing in a bit. I've seen the gun fu movies they're ridiculous. I've seen a bunch of those serious soldier bullshit movies too. I'm glad sergeant sucksnuts gets the babe vol 24. But go the old way, blade and bellyfire, that's like riding in the pocket of gods. Capricious ones at best, but every ride has its lows. Plus the phallic symbolism has a certain juvenile appeal. 

And the mental health is the real motherfucker isn't it? There's always people looking for work, feelin down or whatever. Their cut for the bounty of healthcare is awful meager. Especially for folks with mental health issues. Most places you get a gun in your hands 7 days after you declare you wanna buy it. Even less when its just pass a background check that doesn't disclose domestic violence. See a doctor? 3 weeks. But you gotta fill out all this paperwork and you're overwhelmed so you snap and its cops instead of doctors. Then you gotta play the paranoia game because your survival is now dependent on if the police are having a good day or not. It sucks people live like this. 

IDK people play first person shooters would probably disagree but whatever. They get scared when the light tubes and shit come out.  

Back in 02 I'd get yelled at for breaking glass and rolling in it.  Was I an ok person? Probably, I've apologized for most for the stuff I didn't get away with. Even bought lawn furniture replace destroyed ones. Redid a few lawns. You know, wild american shit.  Am I an ok person now? yeah, I lived through me. I don't drink anymore but I know the tab'll come due.

Voxglitch's autorbreak studio, Vult's DJ style filter VCV's kick, Surge Delay and Alright's chronoblob. Sequencing and clocking by Impromptu and Count Modula, mixed up with Mind Meld's stupid studio ass mixer(love the mixer, no way it would survive a traveling eurorack). I could build a live show rack out of this config if I could justify the close to $10k. I am def in the market for a performance controller setup. Like something I could plug my iPad into my mac and use the screen to control knobs. Just putting that out there because I'm doing next week's show on the road. 

Samples from Casio's Rap-1 synth were sourced through nefarious means, then stretched and pitched down in Koala Sampler. I gave the people that make Koala Sampler money because its the best sampler ever. Fight me, I got scars on my knuckles, homie. 

I've never really played with sampled loops a lot before because most of the workflows were absolutely inscrutable or the toolsets were out of my price range. So having this setup is a really cool dream fulfillment. I'm pretty happy with the recording and can't wait to show this off during this week's live show. 

So yeah, I chopped and screwed my samples. I found out about DJ Screw on soulseek through a lot of the Houston based musicians. The cool thing about soulseek is you can chat it up with ppl while you're rifling through their stuff. find out cool things, innovative trolling techniques or get laid. 

I'm going to use these loops in this week's live stream on Youtube if you're into that kind of thing. I hope you are. Especially rich people that think its cool to give me money. You will be 60000% more street cool if you give me money. Kids won't egg your stupid truck if you give me money.

Noisegrind Princess Chelsea(https://noisegrindprincesschelsea.bandcamp.com) is super cool and you should check her stuff out. Anyway, she's sent me a bunch of samples I've been doing my thing to. There's Fanta and HH Greg samples in there with some other rando commercials. I stripped them down using Moises's AI filtering thing and then broke them up in Koala sampler. After that I recorded the whole thing in Reaper DAW then sweetened the audio in garageband.

Between anxiety, tankshit and other litany bullshit I haven’t really found joy in the studio sitting. So I decided to do some self sampling tencho. But I didn’t like the low again so I threw down some kicks included with the koala sampler over the first take as a oneshot sample. Pretty happy with it!
