Born & raised in the birthplace of Jazz under a Pisces moon, New Orleans. Thanks to her Latinx upbringing, Idalia was exposed to music from a very young age, diving deep into different genres.

This mix was inspired by movement in dance, in particular the groovier techno which focuses more on the hips swaying from left to right. In her own words 'tracks that mimic a latin rhythm, "snake sound" hi-hats, and of course lots of melodies'.

Fabio Florido recruits an all-star cast of remixers for the latest release on Runa.

Based in Berlin, Fabio Florido is a DJ/producer who has previously released on the likes of Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 and runs his own Runa imprint. Returning to his own label this July, Florido invites Luigi Tozzi, Exos, Amotik, Danny Wabbit, Edgar de Ramon, Insolate, Arthur Robert and Marsch to remix records from his impressive back catalogue on a brand new compilation, yielding thrilling results.

“It's been a little over two and a half years since the launch of my label, Runa. Each release carried a story, a message, or an intention that I wanted to share with those who, like me, were "confined" at home. These narratives were inspired by the mood of the EP, its title, or events happening while I was crafting it.

We are all shaped by experiences accumulated over the past years, which we now apply to our new lives, clubs, and music. So, I invited eight of my favourite artists to remix or reinterpret eight of my tracks, all composed during the pandemic. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
