Safeword only play it safe in name alone. The San Fran duo specialise in what goes on beneath the surface, bringing musical maturity, song progression and inventive instrumentation to the fore.
For their second Mobilee outing, Safeword have delivered one of the most memorable melodies of the year on "Elephants"; it evolves from classic minimalism, through a bare kicks-n-claps, to colour-drenched instant classic that will defy genre borders and unify dancers during many a sunrise set. On "Himalayas" Safeword gaze skywards for some cosmic tech-disco inspiration, and "PinBalls" keeps its feet on the ground with some heavy kick drums and straight-up dancefloor soul. "Tennis Courts" rounds out this diverse EP, with flurries of back-and forth synths and a fluid bassline.

The French dream-team of Electric Rescue and Maxime Dangles present a new brace of techno gems on the Melomis EP. The release comes hot on the heels of Maxime's, Oralipse ep, which has been heating our floors since July and the pair demonstrate just why they are in such high demand with their exotic genre-crossing techno workouts. Melomis is pure fire. Simple and yet utterly devastating, it's staccato siren riff drills away, filtered and intensified before the earth-shattering drums power in. On the flip its groove all the way as Orlando uses power and poise to generating an impressive helping of funk by matching the the most delicate of bells with raw, weighty beats, bass and breakdown.

Michael Mayer, aka Mr. Lava Lava asked a bunch of his absolute favourite artists to have a go at some of the tracks from his recent album 'The Floor Is Lava'. First up is Barcelona's brightest flame, RAXON, who is melting 'Brainwave 2.0' into a stompin fun-filled primetime banger. Longtime collaborator DAVE DK is a masterful producer and remixer that appears regularly on Pampa and Kompakt. His take on 'The Solution' feels like a road trip to paradise and back. Montreal's PRIORI is one of the hottest names in showbiz right now. His ability to bridge genres and create pristine sound designs is fully on display in his remix for 'The Solution'. Last but not least, the legend that is SEBASTIAN MULLAERT took a moment off from his revered Circle Of Live jams to transform the albums deepest cut 'Ardor' into an extraordinary musical journey. Oldschool Border Community vibes in the rebound!

Captain Mustache, a French music producer and DJ from Paris joins the Feincast series.

Since 2020, he has released music on some of the most respected labels in the electronic scene: Kompakt, Mobilee, Exploited, Permanent Vacation, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, and an album on John Digweed's Bedrock Records, with consistent support from top DJ's around the world.

As a true electronic music lover, he has collaborated with some electro icons (Dave Clarke, Arnaud Rebotini, Chicks on Speed, The Advent, Keith Tucker from AUX88...), adding an extra vocal dimension to his music.

After a career milestone in 2023 with a full album called "The Super Album" on the legendary label KOMPAKT Records, he's coming with a new album called "LUZ" on beloved Berlin's label MOBILEE.

projects under his belt. He started this latest moniker as a live and production project in 2017
focusing on a synth laden, 80s influenced sound that draws on nuwave, di

can trace back the inspiration to his production to his musical roots. He was influenced by a
wide range of musical genres from soul
-
funk to hip hop to New York’s underground house,
which can be persistently heard in his production.

generation of Hungarian electronic music alongside their compatriots Secret Factory and many

Soma are pleased to welcome Vidab Records boss Oliver Deutschmann to the roster as he debuts with the dark & hypnotic ‘Dazed & Confuzed’ EP. Firmly established in the underground, Deutschmann has stood behind his unique brand of 4/4 beats for more than a decade; a permanent fixture at Panorama Bar for over 4 years with his dubby, pushing house vibes, old school drums, intense peaks and driving modern dramatics. Developing a strong signature sound, Oliver translates real emotion and atmosphere into his productions, with bold, crisp and powerful drums, resonant, textural synthlines and a stylish talent for keeping things locked down to hypnotising effect. 
His debut EP on Soma shows his darker edge, expertly opened with ‘Dazed’. A heavy kick drum and deep, rolling sub bass is backed up with a hypnotic synth hook right from the beginning as Deutschmann sets up the listener and dance floor for a proper shakedown. Rising steadily that familiar 909 clap comes in to show that this track means business as it powers through.
The follow up ‘Confuzed’ picks up where Dazed left off. Tough drums kick the track into overdrive straight away as Oliver doesn’t let up on the hypnotic Techno found on the EP’s opener. Pounding drums and tripped out vocal teases its way into the track as a prolonged breakdown keeps the track bubbling until, with brute force, launches relentlessly back in. This is uncompromising Techno at its best.
This is a top EP from a producer who can flawlessly move between styles and who isn’t adverse to showing his darker side.

Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
