It has been rapid rise for Italian brothers Fabrizio & Matteo Floris. Producing as Mr. Bizz the duo's early releases for Frisbee Tracks and Muticolor Recording found good support, however it was their 2009 production 'Eternity' that really put them on map. Signed to Cocoon, it featured on the Ten Years Of Cocoon compilation mixed by Dubfire and Loco Dice and was a highlight of that summer season. 

Into 2010 and Mr. Bizz were in full flow, signing releases to Tuning Spork and Resopal Schallware and turning their remix talents on Hakan Lidbo. Since then its been a flurry of releases. Ep's for Octopus Recordings, Deeperfect and Material Series and remixes for the likes of Mauro Picotto, Hermanez, Pig&Dan, Stefano Noferini and Yello. 

The heavy beat patterns and sinister vocals have defined Mr. Bizz's original style and are to the fore here again on their SCI+TEC debut, 'Reversion EP'.

A Fragmented edit of the Resident Advisor rooftop party at Hotel Diagonal, during the 20th annual SONAR in Barcelona, Spain.

'DE9 Fragments' is a series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.

For Steve, DJing and electronic music has always been in his blood, his fascination for electronic music came about from his early child hood with exposure to synth pop bands Ultravox, Eurythmics and Japan and other bands with a similar electronic sound.  

During his teens Steve became aware of a new music that was taking the underground by storm, Hip Hop and it's Electro sibling. Steve's interest in these genres took an interesting new twist when he met a friend who introduced him to scratch mixing; from there investments were made in Technics turntables, multitrack recorders and drum machines -- the musical journey was well under way.  

In the mid to late eighties Steve learnt the basics of production with limited resources and recorded a few Hip Hop demos in a bigger local recording studio, taking rough ideas that had been created in the bedroom and then working them up in a professional environment. 

Then a November night in 1989 was to change Steve's outlook on music forever, "I had a lot of older friends who had been to Ibiza and came back with stories of amazing experiences in open air superclubs, some had ridden their luck and stayed the whole Summer, they were all talking about this amazing music scene and spiritual vibe on the Island"... 

Oakenfold, Holloway, Rampling and Walker came back from the very same experience and decided to try and create this special vibe back in London, Schoom and Future were born and the rest is History. "I remeber getting dragged up to Heaven one night to go to this night called Future, Paul Oakenfold and Nancy Noise were playing, the experience was profound and changed my whole musical outlook in one night." 

After that there was no looking back, the Hip Hop records got tossed to one side and House Music was on the weekly shopping list. "I seemed to have a natural gift for beat mixing. I don't know whether the scratch mixing gave me an edge in the learning process, but to me it was like falling off a log". 

By chance Steve met a young aspring DJ called Oliver MacGregor and a mutual passion for music sparked a friendship which would prove to stand the test of time. Oliver's involvement as manager at Plastic Fantastic records led to great friendships within the industry and an education in House Music and DJing.  

In recent times Steve has worked very hard to become a producer and engineer in the complete sense, from writing to mastering and in control of the whole production process from start to finish. His styles are influenced by good music essentially and cover House, Tech and Techno.

Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
