As usual, the latest release in COD3 QR's "Artist Code" series puts the focus on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity. The usual wide range of electronic music from downtempo/lounge and leftfield, to deep house and techno, are all handpicked by Laurent Garnier and Scan X.

COD3 QR wants to remain free of all expectations and all prejudices because only one thing counts: the music, The Music, THE MUSIC in every shape and form!

In case you missed the announcement 013 artist reveals were: LOIS, Works of Intent, Marc Romboy & Tamar Halperin, Som.1, Voltaire, LB a.k.a. Labat, and Carlos Nilmmns.

Previous releases have included tracks from the likes of Mirko Loco, Ursula Rucker, Agents of Time, JoeFarr, Nicolas Bougaieff, Madben, CYRK, Biz, Sagitario, Kmyle, Marco Bailey and rising talents Joaquim Plossu, Loloman, Prequel, Athven, City 2 City, Unspent, Oniris, Clement Mirguet as well as label owners Scan X and Laurent Garnier themselves.

COD3 QR's profile is steadily growing as a label releasing quality music. With music being the main focus, you'll have to wait another 2 months to find out who is behind this latest release. The curiosity continues…

The cover art from upcoming technorappers Pvlomo aka Baby Acid and Garfias del Carmen EP ¨FASHION LIFE¨ tells everything about the psychedelic, hypersexual fresh electronic scene in steampunky Mexico City, a dark dance movement full of light and orgasmic happiness, smiles, freedom and a constant rubbing of interracial bodies that create new ways of thinking with underground parties where dancing is primordial to convert the old into the new, the shadow into the heart, a berlinesque feel and vibe in a country that in a similar way connects the NorthWorld with the SouthWorld, the West with the East, everyone dressed in black, neon or even cosplaying, celebrating life in a dangerous place in time, in a peak of... what makes us human? while asking to ourselves ... Who is the machine?

PREMIERE : Pvlomo - Fashion Life (feat. Garfias Del Carmen)

Berlin-based duo CYRK return to Switzerland’s Folklor Nation this October with ‘Twinkies’, accompanied by a remix from Belgium’s DC Salas. 

Pascal Hetzel and Sammy Goossens better known to most as CYRK have been making their Electro, Techno and IDM tinged music together in Berlin over the past decade with releases on the likes of Cultivated Electronics, Running Back, Polari, Rawax, Science Cult and of course Folklor Nation where they return here following 2021’s ‘Out Of The Pink’ EP. 

Title-track ‘Twinkies’ leads the release and lays down five and a half minutes of a raw, crunchy drum machine workout, plucked bass and murky synth swells alongside squelchy acid licks and ravey stab sequences. ‘Escape To Uranus’ follows next, employing a chuggy arpeggio bass line and shuffled drums at its core while mind bending lead lines and twitchy 303’s further fuel the frenzied club feel of the composition. 

Brussels based artist DC Salas then reworks ‘Twinkies’ to round out the release, delivering a typically dynamic, cosmic and crisp interpretation, extracting the core of the original while instilling his unique dreamy aesthetic and ever evolving, cinematic feel to things.

The latest compilation album in COD3 QR's "Artist Cod3" series is, as always, focused on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity.  The usual wide range of electronic music is featured with Drum & Bass don Calibre opening up the release with Dub, followed by Techno from Seroplexx and Costello, a more Detroit style vibe from Jim Rivers, Deep House from Subground_3000, while Marcellus, and Melatron & Ancient Artefacts complete the vinyl package with Leftfield beats.   

Bonus digital tracks come from Subground_3000 once more, plus some melodious Techno from Oliver Way & Dany Rodriguez.

All the tracks have been handpicked by Laurent Garnier and Scan X.

The hedonistic paradise that is Berlin's Sisyphos has a record label offshoot called @Sisyphon that will be coming out of hibernation this summer.
The compilation is dedicated to the club's Wintergarten floor and is meant to represent the club's extravagant aesthetic. The sounds range from deep house to jazz-inspired cuts - if you ever been there, you can feel how the tracks perfectly adapt to the space.

We're premiering David Silver's Floorfreude that is a hazy deep House tribute to those glimmering sunny moments on daytime dancefloors.
The whole compilation is a beauty and definitely worth checking out!
