A key figure in Ireland's techno scene, Doug Cooney is known for his technical mastery behind the decks and deep commitment to the genre’s growth. Being a founding member of RLSD Records, he has released on respected labels like Counterchange, Frenzy, NN Records, Orbis, and GND. Doug has played alongside legends such as Dave Clarke, James Ruskin, and Mark Broom, with standout performances at Tresor and HöR in Berlin. His tracks have earned support from techno heavyweights like Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, and Rødhåd. Doug shares his passion for techno by teaching DJ & Music Production Techniques alongside Sunil Sharpe and at Real Sound, a private music school, he invests in the future of techno through masterclasses and artist development programs.
