➤ About this VA:
100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos.

Today after 100 years, the scenario is complex again. There are wars, there is a technological revolution and the world is coming out of a great chaos caused by a virus that produced a great crisis. Can we perhaps learn something from the ideas of surrealism, to understand today's world?, remove ourselves from the entirely rational mind to which technology and the "information society" push us, to finally understand the world from an alternative perspective?

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

(🇪🇸 ESP Abajo! 👇) "Bitácora de Viaje" 🏔️ (meaning ¨A Journey’s Diary¨) by @ElExtravagante is a mystical travel notebook and musical tale that begins in remote Chile, South America, then sails near the North Pole in Canada and finally crosses the Atlantic to France in Europe. This journey crosses three continents that are part of the eclectic and colorful imaginary of El Extravagante's music, navigating between digital cumbia, folktronica, touches of dembow, downtempo and more 🎶

This is El Extravagante's first LP, the result of years of work that includes singles written by himself and beautiful collaborations with various artists. This music has been presented in a variety of venues, from electronic festivals and tropical latin parties, to cultural gatherings and even workshops for children in schools, both in North and South America and in Europe as well. 🌟

However the different cultural influences and playing with 3 languages (Spanish, English and French), the album has a Universal soul that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and all parts of the world. Combining the sound of traditional acoustic instruments, latin grooves and contemporary electronic beats, finding a balance between dance floor and quiet listening.

Bitácora de Viaje is the closing of a musical cycle for El Extravagante (with another album coming up in 2024!), and at the same time the starting point for the label Ritmos del Sur, a platform that began on Youtube, showing DJ mixtapes and promoting folktronica rhythms to the whole world, to now debut as a record label releasing its own material, under the wing of @CosmovisionRecords , with much mystique from South America to the whole world. 🌎

Este viaje atraviesa tres continentes que forman parte del ecléctico y colorido imaginario musical de El Extravagante, navegando entre la cumbia digital, la folktrónica, el downtempo, toques de dembow y más 🎶

Este es el primer LP de El Extravagante, resultado de años de trabajo que incluyen singles escritos por el artista y hermosas colaboraciones de varios artistas.
