Lord, keep my heart always true to You (1st course)

I’ve been looking for songs to sing to the Lord at the end of the day as I get ready for bed. Sun of my soul is one example, (It’s amazing) but I haven’t come across others.

Consulting with my small group I asked what their nights with the Lord look like. Some of which in this song are: telling the Lord you still love Him, asking for protection of your mind as you sleep, and claiming your portion of grace for your sleep.

This is the burden that guided the writing process:
We must come to the Lord with a quiet being. Then sit at His feet and behold/listen. We will come to love spending this personal, intimate, quiet time with Him. Ending the day with Him is so precious.

One Lord's day afternoon in 2106 Grace, we were talking about writing hymns and Chris had this nice tune in mind that he wanted to put lyrics to. Well we basically suggested a couple bible verses that might fit the overall mood of the song, and then he fit these lyrics to the song. Well we went down to Melo's room closed the door and recorded the song right then and there. This hymn is just a small simple prayer to the Lord concerning running the race.
