Critically acclaimed synthwave artist releases new vinyl album. This time with a hard-hitting drummer and rock guitarist.

Code Elektro has released a new vinyl from an almost SOLD OUT live performance in February 2020 year (before Covid-19) at the venue Radar in Denmark. Code Elektro performed the show with a live band (drummer and guitarist). You can really hear the live grooves and audience. 

SOUND OF CODE ELEKTRO
Dystopian Science Fiction Atmospheres, Neon Skylines and eternal Cyberpunk Nights with Acid Rain. That’s Code Elektro. And now it’s live with a real band.

The music is characterized by the use of analog synthesizers and sound design. It sounds similar to the soundtracks of movies like Blade Runner and TRON: Legacy. However, it also takes a step forward to create something new via sound design, visuals and storytelling.

Code Elektro is one of the most critically acclaimed synthwave / retrowave bands out there with thousands of listeners.

The previous records were very well received by critics and synthwave fans worldwide and all were nominated for a GAFFA AWARD for Best Danish Electronic Release (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019). The Danish Music magazine, GAFFA, gave TRIADS 5 out of 6 stars and called it: “World Class Synthwave from Denmark”. Also, the Code Elektro was nominated as Best Danish Electronic Artist 2019.  

Exclusive Quality Vinyl
This vinyl was mastered to high quality audio specifications (24bit, 96kHz), which ensure more detail and better sound quality through the use of minimum compression and limiters.

Code Elektro is an electronic synthwave artist from Denmark. The music is characterized by the use of analog and digital synths - arpeggiators and sound design. It could sound like something from a modern Blade Runner, Matrix or TRON.

In 2015 Code Elektro released the critically acclaimed debut album, SUPERSTRINGS, on Iceberg Records (vinyl and digital). The album has been nominated for a GAFFA AWARD for Best Danish Electronic Album 2015. Also the track "Cyber Dreams" was used for a PUMA commercial.

June 3rd 2016 Code Elektro released the album: "WOLF".

"WOLF" CONCEPT
The new album, WOLF, is a concept album, which mixes themes such as technology, the future and the role of man in relation to nature. Each track on the record describe a feeling or action - and all of the tracks describe an adventure. From the initiation ritual in the wolf den, to the Scandinavian nature, storm, darkness of the night, the city lights - and to the final transformation.

Jon Gotlev (Liserstille, NoHeroes) created the cover and illustration. He also created the large inner cover illustration for the vinyl.

Samuel Hejslet (Lukas Graham) plays sax on "Transformation" and Leonardo Badinella (Billy Sheehan) plays guitar solo on "Lost in Time".

DYNAMIC SOUND ON "WOLF"
Code Elektro has partnered with Nordic Dynamic and Peter Lyngdorf (HifiKlubben) about sound quality and dynamics. The vinyl version - and a special Nordic Dynamic version – both have more dynamics and better sound quality, which otherwise is not possible on traditional platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and TIDAL. This allows for "Wolf" to have a form of natural texture and extra musical depth - although the sound universe is very electronically.

Martin is a huge fan of science fiction and cyberpunk – so he has been working on this album in between projects for a few years. With sonic references like Blade Runner, John Carpenter, Daft Punk, M83, among others Code Elektro's main focus is trying to create lots of images in the head of the listener – from drama to suspense to beautiful atmospheres.

As much as Code Elektro is an artistic outlet for Martin, it is also a fan project from one Sci-Fi fan to others.

The cover design for Superstrings were created by Niclas Mortensen (logo) and Kilian Eng (illustration). Kilian Eng is very well known graphics artist with a special interest in Sci-fi and surrealism.
