Second hour of the second edition of Luna Roja. The Flying Duck, July 26th, 2025. 

Taking over from Jamie Wilson, Chris delivered a stunning hour of chuggy techno and hypnotic electro that kept the room locked in a communal dance.

Chris (Illogical Operator) cut his teeth in the Dundee music scene of the mid-90s before moving to London, where he ran the successful club night Zombie Disco at the infamous south-east rave spot, Bubblegum. He later returned to Dundee, curating events under the moniker The Bombay Club and hosting a tent at the city’s biggest annual festival, Westfest. Now based in Glasgow, Chris and a crew of like-minded reprobates host the Wrong Party, a free monthly gathering in the Southside of Glasgow for dancers and explorers of the best weird electronic music around.

Well it only to 18years for Cassy and I to be back on the same night. 2007 was my first time coming to play at P-Bar in Berlin Germany. It was also my first international booking. I didn't realize this until this year. So I asked Cassy if she would do me the honor and play on my residency night at Globus...In Tresor! I was nervous and excited! I also messed up during the set a few transitions...But recovered Nicely...lol so here it is Back to Back!

If these bring back fond memories then this recording of Dreaming Daisies should bring back some (vague?) recollections..

Airing just one week after Underground Resistance and Kevin Saunderson played at the Big Ticket this represented a seminal time for dance music in Adelaide and I'd suggest, much more widely.

This is Part 1 and is straight from a thrashed TDK90 that was played to death (Walkman with Bass Boost of course!) and comes complete with hiss and poor radio reception. You won't get hi fidelity but you'll get the real deal.

This is Part 2 of another archive recording of Dreaming Daisies, early Adelaide 90's radio show. I'm not entirely sure of the date for this one, pretty sure it's very early 1993 based on the tracks (almost all 1992 but a couple I think came out in 93). 
This episode typifies Dreaming Daisies - a mix of amazing local and Australian talent as well as Detroit and European techno.

Dreaming Daisies techno/house radio show, I think from 1993 (perhaps 92). Interview by Georgie Knight with legendary techno producer Richie Hawtin. Didn't quite get the complete interview here but captured most of it and also the vibe of the time. Richie came to Adelaide a couple of times to DJ at the height of the +8/Probe creative period.
