Multiverse Sessions - Code618 guest mix Nov 2021

'Dreaming Daisies' retrospective/tribute show recorded live on the Three D radio show 'Raw Like Sushi, hosted by Sam Walker and soundtracked by myself on 3rd August 2022. 
Dreaming Daises was an Adelaide late night radio show that ran from 1990-1999, hosted by Georgie Knight with her unique and ethereal tones..... The show essentially soundtracked and educated a generation of dance music lovers in Adelaide, with the positive influence still resonating today... 
This show, mixed and recorded live in the studio, captures the sound of the show and in particular the 92-94 time when the Dutch and Detroit sounds fused with the unique techno transmitted from Adelaide. Hopefully this show either stirs some memories or provides some insights for those unfamiliar with the show or the sounds of the time.... Enjoy :)

Deep House Mix 2004

Dreaming Daises was a Tues night radio show that formed an integral part of the early 90s Adelaide Dance music scene.
Recorded straight off radio onto the trusty TDK D90, this edition is a DJ 2120 (Claude Young) special.
Claude was a welcome and regular visitor to Adelaide, often for lengthier stays with techno and house sets punctuated by the very latest underground music played in his typically dynamic style.

Another archive recording of Dreaming Daisies, early Adelaide 90's radio show. I'm not entirely sure of the date for this one, pretty sure it's very early 1993 based on the tracks (almost all 1992 but a couple I think came out in 93). 
This episode typifies Dreaming Daisies - a mix of amazing local and Australian talent as well as Detroit and European techno.

Part 2 of the Richie Hawtin special on Dreaming Daisies, seminal early 90s techno/house radio show from Adelaide, Australia. Dreaming Daisies Adelaide radio show hosted by Georgie Knight. This one is from early May 1992. Much more of a Ravey tip than many of the shows around this time which were more Detroit influenced. Club update around 30 mins in shows just how much was happening at the time with clubs/nights such as Metro, Cargo, Le Rox, The Astor, Reactor and the Old Lion all active.

Dreaming Daisies May 1992

It's been a long year and I finished up work for 2017 today. 
After (a few)soothing beverages decided to pull out only records from the old French FNAC label and pull together a tribute of one of the most innovative electronic music labels from the early/mid 90's. Yes the FNAC label started well before that and covered many other genres however it did capture a beautiful and very distinct melodic techno sound awash with 303 basslines that is timeless to this day.
This is a 100% one take vinyl mix and is certainly not a technical masterpiece. I wanted to capture almost the full length of most tracks and pay tribute to an amazing time for French techno that still resonates today...  These records seem to be escalating in value and don't look like seeing a repress so I hope you enjoy some of them all in one place...
Includes tracks from Deepside, Modus Vivendi, Laurent Garnier, Choice, Soofle, Deep Contest and Feedback amongst others.

Blast from the past spontaneous old school rave/techno mix..... 100% Vinyl and the obligatory switch off the Technics slow down transition..... Unsurprisingly it ended up predominantly R&S Records in the mix. Such a defining label of this sound and still a sentimental favourite

Here's a mix I did for my brother-in-law for his office space. The 313 in the title is not a reference to Detroit (respect and much love tho) but the street address of the office in Adelaide. 
Collection of disco edits (shouts to LNTG!), Nu Jazz and some deeper house. Music I love but I certainly don't have the knowledge here, so basically no idea what I'm doing, haha!
As always, this is 100% vinyl and one take.....
