We're getting the band back together!  I recorded Tickertape and Mayday after revamping my studio workflow, and I asked my friends Chaircrusher and Perkowitz to remix the title track.  Chaircrusher released this EP digitally on his Cornwarning label in 2009.  Enjoy!

Brian Eno with Kevin Shields - Only Once Away My Son

This track grew out of experiments trying to replicate a certain stuttery sound from popular music in the early 1980s.  I used gated chords from a Jupiter-6 along with a triggered portamento sound from a Moog Source for the main melodic sounds.  There's also some PPG and Juno-60 thrown in there.  The bass line is my favorite bass machine, the Oberheim SEM.

We grew up listening to Swayzak albums "Snowboarding In Argentina", "Himawari", "Dirty Dancing" or their "Groovetechnology v1.3" compilation(couldn't afford an original pressing of "Bitstream - Monolith" back in those days) so when we had the opportunity to deliver a mix by this legendary name, we just couldn't refuse it.
