After his first EP with MAZE in 'Ghostweather', FAREED returns to the Construct Re-form sub-label with his new album 'La Couleur de l’Ombre'.

Fareed explores rhythmic fields, playing with North African percussions and distorting jungle breaks to create syncopated patterns. With a wide selection of experimental Maghrebi influences, he adds a thick, distorted texture paired with ancient, mystical voices, allowing you to travel beyond the meaning of Arabic poems. FAREED uses voices as echoing resonances and harmonious ambiances, resulting in a hybrid style that mixes techno, bass music, and drum and bass with a tribal touch.

Our featured premiere 'Late Chiefs' is an assured drum builder, increasing in weight by the breakdown and striking a groove that falls gently between hard drum and ballroom. Poised yet deadly percussive club music.
