Code Rising is an American Electro duo that was formed in 2010 and consists of Matt Lancaster (South Carolina) and Ryan Phillips (South Florida). Over the years, Code Rising has shared the stage and worked with some of the biggest names in the Electro music scene; performing live mainly in Miami and the surrounding Florida coasts.

After a healthy line of digital releases on Monotone Records from 2010-2013, the duo saw the release of their first full-length CD "Dissemination Protocol" on their own label, Propulsion Recordings. 2021 saw the largest release from the duo yet; "A Spectral Odyssey" was released digitally via BandCamp with a whopping 18 track playlist. Accounting for original and collaborative work, the duo have more than several 12" EP releases in their catalogue. Most of the Code's discography can be found on Soundcloud and Bandcamp! Gavin O'Sullivan is an Irish producer/DJ better known in the Electro community as @Breakdata - He has been producing music since 2017 though he did grow up frequenting Dublin clubs as a lad. He draws on influences that range from Electro and Techno to Rock and even Metal. He operates a weekly radio show on Dublin radio's Power FM on Tuesdays at 23:00 where he plays a wide variety of music. This mix created for @DarkScienceElectro is unified to take you on a pure Electro voyage. Play it loud.

Irish DJ and producer Gavin Mac Donagh aka GAMADON runs the vinyl label Warehouse Manifesto (WM), that has been based in London for the past three years but will be relocating to Ireland in the coming months. The WM label operates the harder side of electro and techno and so does this mix, which somewhat amazingly includes all 30 tracks from the first five releases on his label.  We’re fans - and so are The Prodigy, who invited him to play at their shows in Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg between 2015-2016. Press play to find out why.

This mix is my personal tribute to Florida — the birthplace of Electro and the OGs who made me fall in love with it. Welcome to Florida isn’t just a set; it’s a time capsule and a thank-you letter rolled into one.

I take you on a journey through the decades — from the raw roots of classic Electro, through its evolution and reinvention, to the new wave of producers pushing it forward. Every transition is intentional, every layer pays homage to the legends who built this sound and the fresh blood keeping it alive today.

The story closes with something truly special — James Wolfe & J-Break’s unreleased track “Obsessed” (as of this writing). Ending this mix with that track is my way of saying thank you to the mentors, friends, and pioneers who continue to inspire me every day.

A huge shoutout to James Wolfe for the incredible mastering on this mix — your touch brought the energy, clarity, and punch it deserved. And a special thank-you to David Gruter, whose introductions to so many amazing artists helped me connect even deeper with the soul of Florida Electro.

This is more than nostalgia — it’s a celebration, a love letter, and a promise.
