Divide is integral part of Evod Music. Divide is the alias of Davide from Italian Syntaxism duo, is like a bridge between old generations and new ones. Its sounds range from Sci-Fi techno to 90's techno, characterized by minimal sequences, heavy drum patterns, and an accurate sound design. Divide releases his first album with his new project on Evod Music.

Besides the releases on the label, was also released on the labels of Oscar Mulero's: Warm Up Recordings, Pfirter's: MindTrip, Hayes Collective, Antiterra Records and his latest release took place on Float Records.

XONO Invites - Lonefront

As we approach the 21st edition of my invites series. We travel across the North Atlantic to introduce one live performance artist who has recently catch the attention of many. 

Originally hailing from California, USA. Lonefront is an artist who’s passion for electronic music rose from his earlier years as a guitarist. 

Now residing in Minneapolis, which has earned its own respect in the underground community. With artists such as DVS1 at its centre. 

Lonefront otherwise know has Ross Hutchins. Has been inspiring many with his live performances. With great attention to detail, creating & transitioning between perfectly executed pieces that takes us on the journey we all crave. His latest work was a supported by none other than DVS1. Where he released a live recording from one of Lonefront’s recent jams at DVS1 highly respect future classic warehouse. 

He also featured 1 track on our last VA on platform 22. We are proud to announce his second release with up with us. A split EP with myself which is due to be released soon.  It was only right to have Ross join us on the series. 

Tomorrow night we find out more about Lonefront’s journey so far and why he has been drawn to Techno so much. All wrapped up with a one hour live recording straight from his studio for all our listening pleasure.

@comradewinston1984 could not have wished for better soil to grow as a DJ. The scene in his hometown of Nijmegen, located in the eastern part of the Netherlands, has given him ample opportunities to hone his skills. 

Now based in Amsterdam, his sound has caught the ear of many music enthusiasts, dancers and promotors. Fast mixing techniques and a taste for old school records from the 90’s with real groove and funk have achieved mayhem on many dance floors and have given him a strong reputation within the techno community. These abilities at the decks have earned him a position as a steady player at the infamous @reaktorevents parties as well as a residency at Operator Radio. 

His own imprint Comradery is in the making – a promise to dust off classic grooves and bring back the sound of a forgotten era. With no signs of slowing down, Comrade is ready to bring the past into the future.

For our final show of 2021, @codeword-london hosts Biri, one of Tel Aviv’s finest electronic-music exports. @biri1990's signature blend of trippy, hypnotic and deep techno releases have been snapped up by leading labels including Len Faki’s @figure.official, Inland’s @counterchange-inland , Derrick May’s @transmat,  and most recently with his latest EP, 'Untitled Drift' on Psyk’s @nonseries.

Biri’s musical and geographic journey from his hometown Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, via Berlin and now London, also includes a successful collaboration as artist duo Deep’a and Biri and founding the label Black Crow. As a solo artist in his own right, Biri is pushing the boundaries of deep techno and IDM and is on a trajectory that merits serious attention.

Codeword w/ Biri (Threads Radio - 16 Dec 2021)

Codeword returns for its first Threads Radio show of 2022 (episode 27) hosting Viels (@viels), a rising star among a new generation of techno artists. The Milan-based artist has charted releases across labels including Non Series, Semantica, Dynamic Reflection, Edit Select and most recently a 4-track EP on @oscarmulero's Warm Up Recordings.

The founder of End of Perception (@endofperception) and resident at Milan's Acquario Immersioni is gaining recognition for his rugged, mechanical,  intense and groove-filled releases and DJ sets, and this 1h vinyl-only mix for Codeword is no exception.

Codeword hosts Sabinē (@sabina-inoyatova), the Riga-based, Uzbekistan-born DJ, producer, club-programmer and event promoter. 

Sabinē is making waves across central and eastern Europe and Eurasia with her direct, industrial-infused techno - and this 1h mix for Codeword on Threads Radio is no exception.

Having played alongside the likes of Nina Kraviz, Answer Code Request, Perc, Sigha and more, upcoming dates include a debut in Baku, Azerbaijan and an event at her home-base in Latvia with MCMLXXXV.

For Episode 29, Codeword hosts Raketka, the Belarus-born DJ, event organiser and electronic-music educator. Since 2009, Raketka has travelled the world with a bag of vinyls, spanning Santiago de Chile, Berlin and landing in southern India, where she holds a residency at Cirrus club in Goa.

Once noted for her Detroit, dub-techno and acid influences, in recent years @Raketka has been recognised for her 'out of genre' DJing including making the shortlist for Mixmag mix of the year and appearing on Boiler Room. True to form, Raketka offers up a 1h sojourn for Codeword on Threads Radio across techno, deep techno, house, acid, rave and more.

Release date: 5th March, 2021

Argentinian producer Translate has become one of the staples of cosmic and elaborated techno lately, with releases in the mighty Srie records or Subsist. We are super pleased to have him on board with this digital EP comprising five cuts of abstract and scientific dance music. Axial Rotation starts the engine with a fast paced groove, heavily bass fuelled with a continuous synth line moving across the basement. All sound elements are constantly mutating and evolving although the mood is linear and loopy. Constant Rely is a proper scfi exercise, bleeps, soft 808 drums, space and liquidity.Ideal as a dj tool to add spice to harsher tracks. DNA Inception follows, again sine waves sequenced wisely, Bleeps and resonant noises and a minimal approach for yet another hi precision dj tool. Dynamical Approach goes more atmospheric and ethereal with every sound component floating in a massive reverb landscape where bleeps provide the necessary hypnotic component. The feeling is similar to being floating in hyperspace. Pulsing Signal closes the release in an epic mood, rolling basses and drums, one more time spiced with bleeps and resonant details.
